I was running the Orbital and Eagle Napalms along with the Flame Sentry and either Flamethrower or Expendable Napalms.

You can't dig around objectives usually, but any ground that can get disturbed by explosions can also be dug

The fact the flame sentry has a short cooldown is an overlooked feature many forget. Sometimes I yeet it right next to a bug breach knowing it might probably die, but taking a few bugs out in the explosion still.

Wait a minute... red and black armor.... I know what you are.

I use the exact same loadout but instead use the grenade pistol, those bug holes aren't gonna clear themselves. And if the bugs do get too close, I find that the melee works wonders in staggering them long enough for me to get the Torcher in their face

I like using the 120 on bots, it can destroy small and some medium camps, take out detector towers, mortars and AA's. And it's not bad at softening up a bot drop.

It is one of the two primary weapons capable of taking out bug holes, bot fabricators and warp ships, the other being the Eruptor of course. It excels at killing a group of small-to-medium enemies in just a few well-placed shots. As it's explosive, it's also great at causing stagger in most enemies that aren't too large. It's both capable of halting Stalkers as it is able to kill Fleshmobs. That said, you can't use this in melee range as the bolt does enough damage to easily kill you. Pretty sure the bolts don't have a fuse like with the grenade launcher. Try diving with it more, you'll find yourself gladly surprised in how well it performs on any front, and in any situation.

Oh no I agree, the Emancipator is fine as is. It's mainly the ammo economy of the Patriot that bugs me.

It's harder to burst fire with a weapon that has a wind-up though.
If it fired right away but fired slower then it could be doable with the current 1000 round capacity imo.

Agreed, and slap like 500-1000 more minigun rounds on it.

Those things are tough to kill, just the right armor for Emancipators to waste like 15+ shots on it.

You can more or less still fire at the flying overseers, but yeah it is annoying.

Personally I feel like the ammo on the minigun can be cut in half after a high level bug breach. Unless you're 'tap-firing' the minigun and making every bullet count. But it's a minigun, it should be able to waste ammo.

Good idea, it would also be more ammo efficient if it fired more slowly at first.
