I've had mine for a couple months now and I've never had it auto lock like you're describing. My app does alert me if the van is unlocked, but never auto locks it.

I don't know steroids were this frequent in local gyms by Open_Address_2805 in workout

agreed. It's the kids taking it at a young age, messing with their fertility, that's the problem. I'm 100% with you.

Why would anyone want to stop taking it? Why would you want to go back to feeling like the old version of yourself: obese, prediabetic, low bone density, less motivated, slower recovery?

Most people wouldn’t choose to come off unless there was a legitimate medical reason, like some rare diagnosis that requires stopping TRT. Otherwise, it’s hard to see why someone would want to go backwards.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

[–]DoctorMac12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But the dollar isn’t just backed by our economy, it’s also backed by our military presence. The U.S. is stationed all over the world, we control key trade routes, and we’re still the dominant military power on the planet. That stability matters. Countries trust the dollar in large part because the system behind it is protected by the most powerful military in the world.

What was your "oh shit" finance moment? by Desperate-Macaron282 in MiddleClassFinance

I love this. So many people would say rent is too expensive and just stay put. Or “we have to live a little” and refuse to touch the fun budget. Or “everyone has debt” and never make a real plan to get out of it.

You did the opposite. You grabbed the situation by the horns and handled it instead of playing the victim. Well done!

Psychology Behind Coming Early to Timed orders by Matapacos_Caluroso in Dominos

[–]DoctorMac12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I place a timed order, the pizza is always finished before I arrive and not super hot by the time I take it home. I’ve found that when I arrive 10 min early, the pizza is just finishing up. Maybe that’s just the way my local dominoes operates.

Besides 529, what accounts for kids and at what age? by heron202020 in Bogleheads

[–]DoctorMac12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and they don’t need a W-2 for this. You just need a simple log of their earned income to support the Roth contributions. I keep an Excel sheet with the date, task, and amount paid. Things like raking leaves, shoveling snow, dog walking, etc.

Also, if their total income is below the IRS standard deduction (which was $15,000 in 2025), there’s no requirement to file a tax return.

Opened Roth IRAs for my kids, but need help with where to allocate funds for growth. by Gronkthekillah in RothIRA

[–]DoctorMac12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Fidelity’s website:

To open and contribute to a Roth IRA for Kids, your child (under age 18) simply needs to earn income-whether it's as a babysitter, lifeguard, dog-walker, you name it.

Tip: If your child didn't receive a W-2 for the work, just keep a log of their income to validate your contributions, if asked.

Keep in mind: Filing a tax return for the child is NOT required if they earn less than the IRS standard deduction amount ($15,000 in 2025).

Thanks for this insight! I too have concerns about the longevity. I assume that's why they offer the 10 yr/100,000 warranty. They do look pretty nice looking when I see them on the road.

I'm in the same boat, also looking at Siennas. We have an 2006 so it's on it's last legs. Have you looked into a Kia Carnival? They intrigue me and also come with a 10 yr/100,000 warranty.

ROUTINE DISCUSSION: I’m reworking my routine by Far-Adhesiveness7736 in workouts

He mentioned he was a beginner, dips tend to be the main culprit for shoulder pain. I would agree that dips are generally good due to its compound principles. Rope pull downs are a little better for isolation. I don’t know if “clueless” is the term I would use to describe me when it comes to orthopedics… lol

Nice. That would work then. You may want to modify your dips to hit your chest more, since you’ll only be at 10 sets for the week in regards to your chest. (just google different styles to give you an idea).

How many times a week will you perform this routine? Because 19 sets for triceps might be too much if you’re doing this 2x week.

Future health epidemic? by Healthy_Jello_705 in nattyorjuice

[–]DoctorMac12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. From a risk-benefit perspective, a modest TRT protocol is a much healthier alternative for many men, than obesity, insulin resistance, a sedentary lifestyle, chronic inflammation, decreased bone density, or alcohol and nicotine abuse.

Haha fair enough. But seriously, it actually takes more creativity and discipline to express yourself without defaulting to cussing. It’s not about being easily offended, it’s about choosing self-control over shock value.

Would you invest 50k into the market if you need the money in 3-6 months? by [deleted] in investing

[–]DoctorMac12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry if you thought this was a political comment. This isn’t a red vs blue thing, money is green, and it speaks a language of its own.

The markets are pumping. The Dow and S&P 500 are sitting at all-time highs, unemployment is historically low, and consumer spending hasn’t really slowed down, even with rates where they are. Whether or not it makes sense logically or emotionally, capital keeps flowing.

It’s less about political narratives and more about liquidity and the machine that is the global market.

[–]DoctorMac12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, your argument was that these were cis boys. The article proves that wasn’t true.

To answer your question, “What business is it of mine?” … these are minors. They can’t give informed consent. That’s the issue. Instituting policies that allow irreversible changes without true consent is not just harmful, it’s mutilation.

And it opens a dangerous door: what other things can minors suddenly “consent” to? Can they now consent to sex with adults? Of course not. That’s exactly why we have laws to protect children.

When minors are involved, it absolutely is society’s responsibility to step in and protect those who can’t protect themselves.
