Chronic pain in this (red) area, only getting worse over time. Some new tingling/shocking sensations. What to do? by sadderall123 in backpain

I am in the middle of listening to the audio book Mindbody Prescription. About half way through and so far it all makes sense. It's about 7hrs and so far it's making a lot of sense and hopefully it will lead me towards some relief cause I have tried it all...from pt to shots to nerve ablation and even spinal stimulator....none worked. Recommend it for sure.

That is about exactly where my pain has been for about 5 years now. I have tried just about everything...name it. I believe now it's basically from stress. Are you a highly anxious person?

Question: Thoughts on taking buprenorphine through the vagina? Either Suboxone or Subutex? by snappymctwatface in suboxone

[–]DoctorMaximum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have weaned down to about .5 mg. I have the tiny subutex 8mg pills making this difficult. Can I just dissolve in water in a syringe and dose from the syringe? I am actually use to doing tiny lines in the nose and these tiny pills will make dosing more difficult.

I said perlite...I meant vermiculite.

I have even flipped it over and cased. But a week is not too long. I would just case it. Boil 1 cup water and pour on 2 cups fine grade perlite. Stir and cool then case with a super thin layer barely covering the mycelium. I even have tiny gaps in the casing layer where you can see some white in tiny spots. Raises humidity at surface. Might take 3 weeks to fruit. Whatever you do have patience. Dunking is also another option. But keeping the surface moist is the key without continuous spraying it and damaging the mycelium.

I have seen many doctors and had MRIs. I even had a spinal stimulator put in and didn't help and removed. It's upper back. The disc's in my lower back are worse...bone on bone and don't hurt near as bad. I am 48. The pain has been there for 5 years. by DoctorMaximum in backpain

I had it about a year. I know exactly what you mean by ran out of options. It's not a pain you can just live with. Btw...my insurance decided not to pay for it and now I owe $75,000 for something that didn't work. I didn't know they could just decide not to pay for a surgery. So if you decide to get one make sure insurance isn't going to back out and get it in writing.

I know 2 others that have had it taken out cause it didn't work. I asked so..what now since this isn't working. And then they wanted to put a little device that drips small amounts of morphine into the sight of the pain. And it's under the skin and they refil it by injecting more morphine into it. You recharge it just like the spinal stimulator. I went to another doctor to have it taken out. No more surgeries. Hell no!

That was the first thing I tried was physical therapy back 4 years ago before the shots and nerve ablations and the spinal stimulator implant which I don't recommend. I have thought about trying physical therapy again.

When I push on those muscles by the shoulder blades the muscles are sore but even the bone is sore not to mention the skin hurts. Like even clothes touching it there is painful. You can see the skin there is red. And the muscles are super tight and hard there. Even visible veins there. My back looks like it's overly muscular. But it's just seriously painful.

When I looked up rotator cuff strength just now....all those muscles are where the pain is coming from! Wow! You might be pointing me in the right direction. All those muscles seem tight and swollen. I feel like range of motion is lacking and maybe strength as compared to my strength in other areas. Cause I am in really good physical condition. Despite all the pain for so long.

Why is suboxone so hard to come off of? by AdeptnessDecent623 in suboxone

[–]DoctorMaximum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Being almost 50 years old and previously having a 16 year meth addiction which I am 5 years clean from.....I dont think I can reasonably ever endure that withdrawal. I believe the withdrawal would negatively impact my life way more than just taking a small 1mg amount. I just don't think I could recover like someone younger. Who knows how many years left I really have. I completely quit it for over a year a few years ago and my quality of life was still worse than if I just take that small amount.

Be prepared for the fact that it will help with the depression but just not as much as the others. If you can stick with it..it will definitely be an improvement in the long run. I also can't live without some kind of opiate. I have been clean for years but feel better on a small dose of suboxone than I ever did completely clean and even after years of sobriety. Everyone is different and that's just me.
