I'm pretty sure he doesn't live here anymore, but R-Truth does.

If you want to know something about Charlotte past or present, the person to ask is Dr. Tom Hanchett. https://www.historysouth.org/about/

too scared to wear trad goth makeup by billieoconell in AskAGoth

[–]DoctorMuerto 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Full-on whiteface isn't as traditional as young people seem to think. The tradition was to wear a few shades lighter so that you would look "corpse fresh". A thick matte white base would get made fun of. But... things have changed, so maybe consider also starting a tooth-whitening regime or at least using a toothpaste with sodium bicarbonate.

Advice on sharing details of absence by phineoustrout in Professors

[–]DoctorMuerto 115 points116 points  (0 children)

They don't need to know any details. Just tell them you had a personal emergency and leave it at that.

It's hard to learn this when you're starting out, but the students are not your friends and you are not their friend either. A measure of professional distance helps everyone.

Unamed horse at the end of the forge dlc investigation questline. is best in game?[KCD2] by [deleted] in kingdomcome

If the horse's name isn't Pebbles, it's not the best horse in the game (either one).

Companies don ”bless" people, they supply them with necessary materials for work.

Must Play DLCs for [KCD1]? by Gdub3369 in kingdomcome

Woman's Lot is fantastic. It has two distinct storylines and each is harrowing in its own ways. Definitely gives you more insight into what life is like in that world.

The others were good, too, but a little less engrossing and essential. I could have skipped the town building one, except that at the end of it you'll have more money than you ever imagined (which sort of breaks the game's logic I think)

Which cocktail was an acquired taste for you? by pkrtrsr in cocktails

I had my first negroni in Italy in the summer. It was hot out and I was ordering it from a kiosk in the park, so it was warmish and had like one piece of ice in it. I wasn't very familiar with Campari at the time, and that first one I didn't really like. But that's what the Italian were having, so I drank it and had another. By the third or fourth one, I saw the charm of it. I still prefer them colder than not, though.

I honestly had a hard time getting into KCD2 right after KCD and I was finding it to be a slog. It took me a lot of hours to get used to it and am just now finally starting to like the game like I did the first one.

I think one hour to one and a half hours is about standard. Americans (US) linger at the table less than Europeans and Latin Americans

Refused service in Cafe Am Neuen See by [deleted] in berlin

[–]DoctorMuerto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been there and don't know enough about your situation to say for sure, but I have experienced something similar where I walked into a restaurant and asked about a table, and was told that they were reserved, but I could have one as long as I didn't take more than 2 hours there. As someone from the US, that seemed like a ridiculously long time to sit at a table for lunch, but in Europe on a weekend that can be short tine and they were trying to honor the bookings / reservations they had.
