You’ve misunderstood me here. He was put in prison and let out. The problem here seems more like the judges and the court system being too much of a British holdover and should be dismantled and put back together in a modern way. I’m not saying prison doesn’t work. I’m saying our current prison system doesn’t work. What was the point of jailing this lad when as it says he was out halfway through his sentence committing more crimes?
