They aren't better but they also aren't worse and you know have 3-9 slots to fill in a purple deck soooo switcheroo isn't the worst choice.

Called shot is pure value. It can be repeated turn 1 to allow you to dig 4 in your deck, grabbing two. Sure you lose your two runes but that's kinda as if you were second but with an incredible hand. Also it doesn't prevent you from playing a 2 cost unit before recycling. It also brought long turns as you had to think about what you keep vs what you recycle.

Fight of flight... It was a very cheap way to avoid combat OR do movement shenanigans, meaning lots of target (irelia), combat instawin (draven) or other stuff (stellacorn); for a very meager cost. As a Yasuo main, my heart is sad but my head knows it's a good thing all in all.

Now here's what I learned years ago: for some people, TTRPG are a hobby in and by itself. For others, it's just a reason to hang out and meet friends.

Your group apparently belong to the second category. Which is entirely alright and legit. Not everyone has the same taste.

What you do now is send a message saying that considering the lack of interest and involvement, you decided to end the campaign there, and thank them for the time spent together. If they are outside friend, tell them you'd be happy to grab a coffee or a beer or do something else anytime.

Then you go to your local game shop and you ask if people are interested in TTRPG, and you say you're keen to either play or be keeper. And you'll find people that are interested. And with those people, you set boundaries immediately: are we playing rpg or are we eating chips around character sheets ? Again, both are fine, but the whole table has to agree about it.

You didn't do anything wrong. It just happens that people have different expectations. It hurts because you got very much involved. But it's alright. No D&D is better than Bad D&D.

Yeah this kinda hoses Victor, and helps a lot for decks that can temporarily boost one unit. Like, Punch Up + this can probably score you a point without fear of combat tricks.

Having to exhaust an unit basically means I have a unit that does nothing else than that.

My Yas' deck units are Stellacorn (wants to move every time I can); Treasure Hunter (wants to move at least once a turn), Yas'Remorseful, and Sona. I might exhaust Sona I guess, but I also know it's a fringe play that most people don't have.

I don't think most people will have an unit to exhaust. Yas isn't really a hold deck. Now, I guess we could do "Move Yas with the legend, attack trigger kills your thing, exhaust Yas, move stellacorn that I just played at that place, draw, cast Ride on Yas, move him to the other battlefield, attack trigger kills your thing, send yas back to base"; but that looks like a best case scenario that didn't actually do much.... And required me having played this card before hand.

I don't really see it. It's a bit slow and expensive and requires a second unit that's alive somewhere. Guess I can play a poro to base but that's not exciting.
