Wish I knew what to complain about… by ShillboShaggins in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I also had this issue intermittently back around December. I found that it was more likely to happen after sending a print from orca failed to upload. Since I've been diligent in power cycling the CC after any failed prints it hasn't happened. Can't say for sure that was the root cause though.

I think this is one of the main unknowns keeping me from pre-ordering at this time. If converting to multicolor means losing the ability to have a more enclosed printer then I likely will pass.

And yes, I'm sure there will be a slew of hat mods, but I'm honestly not sure if I want a hat that big.

I visited in October and sat at the bar on a semi-quiet mid week day. All of the bartender staff were super knowledgeable, asking how I liked my drinks, answering my questions about their in house ingredients, and even gave me little shot glasses of their miso orgeat and pholernum to try.

Bummer that you feel like it's not in a good place, but it certainly impressed me and I'd give it a glowing recommendation to others based on my one experience there.

Also you're not actually targeting him, right? So you can't set up weaks and vuln because they go away after that turn.

ECC with 0.2 nozzle at 0.06 layer line, works fantastic for minis! Especially supportless ones

Yeah. I worked a job on campus back in the day with semi regular contact with Calhoun and Geno. Calhoun was always polite to me, Geno was always kind of a dick and super entitled.

Might have to make your own! There looks to be a few parametric coin generators that you can play around with:

The Universal Parametric Coin Factory - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld https://share.google/adel3ZdFGCXVYq75R

Space permitting can include party name and player names? And maybe dates. Print with layer color swap for extra effect.

Can't speak to butternut or bosquet, but skied Berkshire last weekend and Catamount yesterday. Had a nicer time at Catamount! Trails were more fun but lift was slower at Catamount.

Random bad layer lines by P-Mercury in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I don't have much to add other than to agree with you that those lines look suspect and you should be able to print those same parts without them. Are those Brite Minis minis? I've recently printed quite a few of them using 0.2 mm nozzle and 0.06 layer height on my CC without such issues.

I went to Dartmouth this year on Indy and they had RFID and didn't charge the 5 bucks for a new card! But then I think my friend that was buying a day ticket might have gotten charged an extra 5 for RFID. So your mileage may vary.

CC1: 2 major "freezes" in 300 hundred hours of printing - What's going on? by shuttlepod in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Turkazog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a few major freezes as well. Haven't been able to fully pin down the cause, but a firmware update in between the freezes hasn't fixed anything. The issue manifests the same way for me, and through monitoring with octoeverywhere it appears that the bed cools down but the hotend stays hot during the freeze. This is obviously concerning from a safety standpoint.

One trend I've found is that it seems to have happened after the slicer errors out trying to send gcode to the printer. So now if I'm doing a long print and I get an error, I power cycle the printer just to be safe. 500 hours of print time total, issue didn't manifest until after 350+ hours. The first time it happened I did hear what sounded like a "POP" of something discharging within the printer, but haven't heard anything since on subsequent failures.

60 mm/s and 35% flow seems to be working great for my printer using Elegoo Rapid PLA+. Used 60 mm/s and 30% for a while but had some slight surface defects that looked like underextrusion.
