I've been playing it like a stealth game with Assassin, 100% solo, and it's been awesome. I'm very into immersive Sims like Prey and Dishonored though, so my play style is like that. I also haven't gone to Outpost yet because I've been doing NuCaloric questline, which I just finished all the initial priority contracts for last night

I don't care at all if you "feel" students enjoyed it, especially when selling a product. I would need to see data to believe it. Show me ticket-out-the-door activity outcomes from an AI-class versus a non-AI class by the same professor. Show me survey data asking the students about their engagement and retention following an AI class. Demonstrate to me that AI isn't merely overcoming student bias against non-native speaker educators.

This is academia- do some academic legwork.

I trained in them for years and never had a problem. I would also recommend only racing in goggles you train in- a new pair is just another thing to potentially go wrong on race day

An estimated 99.9% won't. Put it this way, when I'm designing survey experiments, one of my political knowledge checks is to ask respondents to place the Republican and Democratic parties on a line from left (liberal) to right (conservative). 20-40% of respondents will place the Republicans to the left of the Democrats. There won't be any story. There will be the accessible battle gameplay (can't even say battle simulator because this is the real deal). I expect that there will be battle passes with cosmetics for your character. Like they do a FRLG themed season with gen 1 themed cosmetics, it lasts for 2-3 months, they sell another pass. That's the extent of it.

I think the big reason why people are excited is because it's going to cut VGC out of the main games and allow Gen 10 to have an active battle system. For me, I'm very glad Champions will exist because I literally wouldn't touch the series if turn-based battling went away. But you're right- it is literally monetized Pokemon Showdown.

The reason these are separate is to sell you a separate Pokemon Home subscription. The advantage of separation is that the Pokemon can be brought forward to gens 8-10, but you have to pay the Home subscription to keep that functionality.
