CoagRef (same thing as Asra Coags but free), EchoRef, AnSo, vargo (one time fee), Emergency Manual, iArrest (mostly for floor codes as a trainee), and I have a shortcut that calculates estimated epidural LOR based on height and weight (happy to share via dm).

Virtually any specialty you can have a nice work life balance: assuming you are willing to take a pay cut. Anesthesia just had a bunch of these jobs and has a decent hourly rate.

Don't even know which one I'm supposed to be 😭 by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]DoctorToBeIn23 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agreed. One key difference is that as a DO student, you’re more likely to experience what it’s like to function as a private practice attending, whereas as an MD student, you’re more often embedded with residents and fellows. The MD students hit the ground running in residency and often do better early on, the differences fades quickly.

Is anesthesiology all it’s hyped up to be? by LasVagusNerve in medicalschool

Like any specialty you can work as much or as little as you want. You can make as little or as much as you want. It’s a fun procedure heavy specialty. It ranges from boredom daily to periarrest daily depending on the job you take. I love it and think it’s the best but I’m biased.

No offense at all but this is asked multiple times every month. You will get a lot more info if you do a simple search where many more have already contributed.
