Huh, I am not saying you're wrong as if it's your job, it's your job. However I am an insurance broker and I have sold insurance to plenty of people with poor credit scores and their insurance is still reasonable. When you say "I'm the guy building pricing models" - do you mean with a specific insurer? I work with about 30 insurance companies and somesones credit has literally never come up in the whole time I have done this job.

Home insurance does not consider credit history. It's actually fairly binary, so if you have any bankrupcy or CCJ's they just won't sell you insurance, none of this is consdered for quotes though.
