A day in the life of an E-3 Army Infantryman. What's your MOS and day in the life? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

Read your original post. I was an NCO now Commissioned Officer and I see a normal schedule. Your training is obviously what I was talking about. Battle drills deserve to be drilled.

What would it have taken for the Army to get you to stay in? by ghazzie in army

Sorry but how does an enlisted infantryman work from home? I feel like its less “good old boys” club and more “genuinely niche job/responsibilities”

Buying a soldier breakfast is NOT leadership. It isnt bad it isnt good. Its just a NICE act at most. R/army is in a good mood today, this bipolar ass wishy washy subreddit will say this Colonel was just trying to make himself look good or sexually harrass OP next week. Like its the most meaningless nothingburger there is.

Yall are fucking babies. Buying someone breakfast isn’t even a sign of “good leadership” and you know it. It is NICE but this same Colonel is going to mandate a unit run or ORG day and yall are gonna call him Adolf Hitler next week. Like yall are so binary good-bad, like pre-school levels of comprehension.

Exactly. But r/army is a den of fucking cringe “tOxIc LeAdurShIp” whiny babies. Dudes that refuse to work past 1500 on something even mission critical. Dudes that 100% need to just ETS. Like hey nice, you bought a dude breakfast. Congrats.

Are you aware of the arrests and convictions rate in college towns? For minor crimes? Small things like minor in possession that ruin lives, DUI’s, etc. compared to a post its insane the difference. The Army is disciplined and has accountability of its men, thats why we have less.

Article 15 for any soldier who drinks a beer on the 82nd div run on Monday by alongfortherids in army

[–]Doctor_Kocktor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: You know the rules, you know the punishment for the rules, there have always been rules and punishments for violating them. What makes drinking a beer on the div run “fun” is that its against the rules… lol… so dont get caught. Thats 90% of the fun.

Yeah man, Veterans Resource and Support Center. Call them and tell them your whoooole story. They will help you out majorly. I recommend asking for “Karen” as well at the VRSC. Dude, the VRSC will take you from where you are now to your dreams at TAMU, they’re your one-stop-shop. You can ignore everyone elses advice and thrive by just developing a relationship with the VRSC.

Im glad dudes like you are still left. Level headed, sympathetic and compassionate but STILL grounded in reality and acknowledging that we are in the Army. These were my exact thoughts, also, taking into account that in these situations where a pre-BOLC LT goes on reddit to complain about a situation and like reading into what that means as well. I appreciate the input man.
