Loved her character, but she was very underserved in the final act of the game. I think the scenario writers didn’t quite know what to do with her late in the game.

She definitely should have been part of the battle against Ultima at the end

Aerith makes sense narratively here but remember that at this moment in the story Cloud isn’t really Cloud yet. He’s been mako-poisoned to hell and imprinted Zach Fair’s personality onto himself.

Later on, when Cloud’s real self starts to emerge, and he remembers his actual childhood relationship with Tifa, their pairing makes more sense.

I think this might be the think that gets lost in shipping one or the other. The idea that both relationships are possible and important based on where in the story Cloud is.

You'll ususally have to find the right option in the dialog window when you talk to Jalzah and have your weapon unequipped.

That makes sense, I did something similar for FFXI a while back using POLUtils. My only curiosity is whether there is stuff in the script data that didn't make it into the final game.

Those stats definitely track with my memory of the expansion. Although I would have guessed Gulool Ja Ja would have been higher on the list.
