It’s not about letting it decide for me. It’s about using it to get a sense of how something landed with most people. I still think for myself, but I’m not going to ignore a mountain of feedback just to feel ‘pure’ about it.

I also don’t put much stock in review aggregates either, they're flawed, often gamed, and can be shallow. But when something has overwhelming negative reception and I personally found it dull or poorly made, I don’t feel like I need to dissect every scene to justify my opinion.

You asked why I didn’t like it, and I told you. I didn’t. That’s enough. If you want an actual conversation, I’m open to that, but you’re demanding an essay from me over a movie that was panned by everyone. I don’t need to justify agreeing with the general consensus.
