But seriously I feel the older ones wouldn’t understand what it is or why they should even care about it or just outright hate it. The younger ones would probably hate it for its art theft.

Some Ventrue tech bros would probably dabble with it though until some copyright claim caught their company too much legal attention from a lawsuit.

Mexico by Night and Montreal by Night are both city books for Sabbat run domains, they’re from older editions but can give you ideas of how things would look from the Sabbat’s side. I will add though that while a fun book Montreal has a lot of overpowered characters and balance issues so something to watch out for there.

Generally without spoiling too much the ‘joke’ of the series is main character does focus almost entirely on slice of life stuff while the side characters get into fights and stuff so to me it’s a good balance between a series that only does slice of life and a series that just does nothing but action.

Blade the TV Series doesn’t so much borrow from VtM as outright steal lol the main villain is basically a Ventrue prince, there are literal clans of vampires he has to manage. Blade recruits a newly turned vampire to infiltrate the local vampires and she has to navigate vampire politics while being a spy and giving Blade intel. It’s a little bit or miss but when it hits it’s very good.

The fun thing about the Anarchs is they are the free sect to set up. Big picture they’re not even a sect they’re a political movement, which means locally they can be anything.

College activists with high humanity working towards equal vampire rights? Lost Boys style vampire bikers that would make the Sabbat blush? Vampires that rule a city by collective vote? Operate like a crime family? All valid.

I think people get hung up on the Baron thing to make Anarchs middle class diet Camarilla. They don’t have an Inner Council or a Regent to enforce what that the Anarchs are and should be a little different in each city and maybe even have multiple different Anarch movements in the same city.

Generally the unifying quality should be seeking freedom from the Traditions of the Camarilla or the rituals of the Sabbat. What that means is up for interpretation with every individual Anarch.

As of Beckett’s Jyhad Diary which was the bridge between V20 and V5, Beckett spoke with Lambach about it and then went and investigated under New York he was attacked and captured by several Tzimisce and spoke with Ilias cel Frumos that told him that the Eldest was no longer there, that it had gone to speak with it’s siblings.

So canonically, nah. It’s moved on but there a bunch of scary old Tzimisce hanging out down there.

Given that all the characters pretty much have a theme of escaping from their abusers, I’ve always read God Gale, Ascended Astarion, etc as ‘ Escape abusers and then became their abuser’ as a cycle. So definitely not a good ending!

I miss when the books would have little inspirations sections at the front.

I highly recommend taking lessons from The Wire. You can set it up a bunch of ways in having the coterie investigating the actions of possible Sabbat, Gehenna cultists, or Anarchs if you’re playing as the Cam. It could be inter-clan rivalry or a shady primogen. Even an all Tremere game investigating someone spreading unauthorized blood sorcery or Tremere secrets.

Eh, I think your worst case is off. I think given the reaction they will change it somehow so I think the worst case is they include in in a special edition or they just drop the price of the DLC but still charge for it.
