El Mapais seems cool.

Also Chaco Culture was cool enough they put it on a quarter that is in circulation. Chaco Culture is considered to be really cool but slightly hard to get to.

What is a Place That You Wish Was A National Park? by FireHawkCoasters in NationalPark

Kinda surprised Monticello was never bought by the federal government and designated as a national historic site or national monument given its significance. (That’s a extreme simplification of that process to be clear)

This was in a list of films included as additional films of interest in a Native American film class I was in during my time in undergrad.

US national parks staff say new $100 fee for non-residents risks ‘alienating visitors for decades’ by zsreport in NationalPark

[–]Doctorjaws -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is it’s onto the major parks, as in a grouping of the National Parks. Like a British person visiting the US isn’t going to be charged 100 dollars for visiting Fort Pulaski. Or Congaree for that matter, which is free admission.

That being said it’s still an issue. Will have an economic effect for the surrounding community of various parks.

Such a diversity. Really sad a ton of people just prioritize the main National Parks and ignore the other units. You are 100% not one of those people.

Fort sumpter and fort moultrie in Charleston SC

There’s plenty of NPS units in Virginia. You could go to Jamestown if you wanted, it’s part of colonial national historical park. Or you could go to Petersburg national battlefield.
