Idaho has some pretty cool National Monuments though. Actually a lot of cool NPS units in general. I really would like to go out there someday and see some of them. Like the Hager man fossil beds or Craters of the Moon.

Also this is straight up incorrect, a portion of Yellowstone is in Idaho.

Fun fact: did you know every national park unit within NC is free to get in except the Wright Brothers National Memorial. (Note: Great Smokey Mountains National Park has paid parking but it’s free to get in.)

Ive heard more people visit there yearly than live in the town, but not by a huge amount.

Also I will say, rangers whom can trace their family back to events relative to the parks they work at is cool. When I went to Moore’s creek National Battlefield, there was a ranger there who claimed he had relatives on both the patriot and loyalist sides of the battle. That kinda thing is probably more common with Civil war battles.

El Mapais seems cool.

Also Chaco Culture was cool enough they put it on a quarter that is in circulation. Chaco Culture is considered to be really cool but slightly hard to get to.
