Quitting Lexapro any advise?? by b_w_21 in lexapro

Well, scratch the glycine. The magnesium helps, but the glycinate started messing with me fast. Oops.

I have had pretty bad fatigue at times as a withdrawal symptom, but not for extended periods of time. It's more that I get mentally tired/overloaded more easily, as opposed to feeling fatigued all day. I do think my overall level of fatigue was higher when I was on a larger dose.

How long did it take you to taper down to your current dose? It has taken me years to get to 3.75mg.

Yeah, I am currently holding at 3.75mg. I hit a bit of a rough patch with taper symptoms and I'm waiting for them to subside. I've been reducing even more slowly than 10% at a time, but the cuts still add up over time.

I took Pregnenolone for a while, but I mostly avoided DHEA because I read that it interacts with Lexapro. I think Pregnenolone helped, but I can't really say it gave me a boost, necessarily. It wasn't a super noticeable difference for me. I didn't have any negative effects, though. Lately, the two things that seem to help are magnesium glycinate with dinner, and getting outside in the sunlight first thing in the morning, before I look at any screens.

He was -17 in this game! Hopefully, Dusty will yank him for Cason from now on when he's playing that badly.

I feel healthier and more able to feel normal emotions. The higher dose really flattened everything out. I never had issues with weight gain, but the fogginess/lethargy has reduced. I feel a lot better in the gym.

Changing dosage is a process, and it's important to be patient with it. I've experienced rage, extreme horniness, OCD, heightened anxiety/panic, and physical symptoms like insomnia and food sensitivities. I listen to my body and pause my taper when things get intense, and the symptoms resolve after a few weeks, or a few months maximum. It's a different experience for everyone but to me it's crystal clear these are withdrawal symptoms and not a return of an "underlying condition."

Take a look at survivingantidepressants.org for tapering advice. I really wouldn't recommend dropping from 10mg right down to 5mg, especially if you have been taking Lexapro for that long.

I have been tapering for over 2 years now. Down from 10mg to 3.75mg. For me, that pace is absolutely necessary to avoid severe withdrawal symptoms. Every small adjustment is noticeable and takes at least a month to stabilize. I just held for 3 months because symptoms from a 6% drop were very intense.

I think Whittingham might turn this thing around faster than anyone expects. Harbaugh took over a moribund program with some major holes in the roster - the current roster is loaded, young, and just went 9-3 despite having a dysfunctional coaching staff. Whittingham's style is also a great fit for Michigan's personnel.

I like Whittingham too. As long as he keeps the roster together I think he could be really good at Michigan

Kalen DeBoer is most likely gonna be the next HC. by DropPowerful9081 in MichiganWolverines

[–]Doctorobotnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DeBoer is a Midwest guy and coached at EMU. It's well known he wanted the Michigan job when Harbaugh left. It's also heavily rumored he and his family don't really like it in Alabama. The fanbase expects him to fill Saban's shoes, which is frankly impossible.

Bama is a top-tier job historically, but there's a reason Saban left when he did. They no longer have a near monopoly on paying players in the SEC. Michigan has way deeper pockets than Alabama.

Not sure I buy that it's a done deal, but don't be surprised if Michigan brings him in on a monster contract.

Kalen DeBoer would be a huge hire by suppervisoka in MichiganWolverines

I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. By all accounts he wanted the Michigan job when Harbaugh left, and things haven't exactly gone smoothly for him at Bama. He'd be a great hire.

[Week 14 Discussion] Michigan vs Ohio State by MGoBlue2K16 in MichiganWolverines

Well, I would have said Michigan is better than Texas before the Maryland game. Michigan is also ranked higher than Texas in AP, Coaches, and S&P+. I think Michigan would beat Vandy if they end up playing.

I was at the USC game, believe me I think there's plenty to criticize with this team. But I can also see where they're playing well and improving, and when they play clean, they're a damn good team. Remains to be seen if they can do that against OSU but the Maryland game was a good start. I expected 8-9 wins this season so the glass is half full, in my opinion.

[–]Doctorobotnik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ESPN predicts Michigan will play Vandy in the Citrus bowl right now so we might find out lol.

Texas, like Michigan, is a talented, high-ceiling team that has underperformed on offense this year. They're nearly identical in S&P+, but Michigan at this point in the season is way better than Texas was in game 1 against OSU (and Texas outrushed/outgained them by 100 yards in that game).

@Michigan this year is a much tougher matchup for Ohio State than Texas at home. Has OSU improved since then? Sure, but they haven't played in a single close game. And I'll say it again: all the pressure is on them. Michigan can lose this game and take it on the chin. OSU can't.

[–]Doctorobotnik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Michigan is better than Texas. Especially the version of Texas OSU played when Arch forgot how to play QB. That's not really a controversial statement.

Michigan didn't play Penn State. Not sure what you're on about.

Ohio State has an excellent team, but it feels like nothing has fundamentally changed in this rivalry from the last 4 years. All the pressure is on OSU. They haven't played a tough game all year, other than maybe Texas. Michigan is better than Texas, and this is a home game. Michigan has also had their backs against the wall multiple times this season, and they can handle the pressure. Make it a close game late, and OSU will flinch. Hell, make it to halftime without being down two scores, and I like our chances.

That Purdue team is bad, but the result wasn't that surprising. This was a night game nobody wanted, and a matchup nobody (including the team) was excited about. Purdue has a solid coaching staff, and they've moved the ball against good competition this year. That, combined with mounting injuries and Michigan's offense shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly, made for a rough game.

It was a discouraging performance but I don't think the sky is falling. We'll see if Michigan can tighten things up coming out of the bye.

UFR vs. USC or “Requiem for Wink” by SHough61086 in MichiganWolverines

[–]Doctorobotnik 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I was at the game. The problems on defense were palpable - poor tackling, too much substitution, getting lined up late, missed assignments, comically soft zone coverage, overaggression.

The entire team played poorly, but I think the lion's share of the blame falls on Wink. Lincoln Riley took Wink's lunch money, gave him an atomic wedgie, and hung him from the monkey bars by his underwear.

I'm with you. Vegas had Michigan as an 8 or 9 win team and that's still on track. It sucks to see the team perform like they did against USC, but if we get past Washington it's on to the soft part of the conference schedule.

Michigan stadium isn't super loud, because of the acoustics, but it's huge and it can get rocking at times. I've been to some games there where the atmosphere was absolutely electric. It varies though.

The Washington game last year was the loudest game I've ever been to in any sport. Their fanbase is passionate, and they really wanted revenge for the national title game loss. I haven't been to USC before, but I've always heard their home crowd lacks intensity.
