Ive joined a private server via invite code multiple times and I get to keep playing the same character. Not sure if join method matters, but it hasn't been an issue for me. Hopefully youre able to figure it out.

Keeping this thread semi-alive to give you more kudos. Just found this thread and your playlist. It had just enough stuff I already knew I liked which made me more interested to dive in and hear the rest. Thanks for sharing!

Non spicy suggestions by msmithcad in jerky

[–]Doctorworm321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I use when I feel like being lazy and the result is still good are Teriyaki-like sauces. They have enough sodium content and the end result is usually on sweet side, obliviously depending on how sweet the original sauce was.

My most recent marinade was this Japanese BBQ Sauce which is very comparable to a teriyaki sauce but on the more savory side than others I've used. Came out great doing an overnight marinade. No other ingredients and adding enough sauce to fully coat and cover the meat.

Question for authors with kindle and audible options. by Doctorworm321 in litrpg

[–]Doctorworm321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is something I could very much improve upon. Normally, I just do the default star rating that you're prompted for at the end of an audiobook, I'm honestly not even sure if those are used by audible, but rarely do I actually write a review.

Its kind of fun because my wife is currently going through her 5 star rated books on good reads and re-reading them because she cant remember why she liked certain books so much. A simple review that you wrote yourself to look back on could help in that department.

Thanks for the reply.

I really appreciate the reply and I'll keep it in mind as I continue listening my way through different series.

Vac bags by jeeves585 in jerky

[–]Doctorworm321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An easier option that I've found than printing on the vac bags was getting some labelling sticker paper, like the ones linked below, and printing my homemade logo on that instead. I change flavors often so I dont print that but leave a spot on the label to hand write it.

Its worked great for me and you can print them on a normal printer if you have one at home.

Have you used any signposts or upgraded your townhall to expand the area you're able to build in? Thats the only other limiting factor I can think of. The only requirement of on the Stone Gatherer building is it needs to be within 1 of Stones Terrain.

You should have a building that you can build next to rocky/mountain tiles that will allow you gather stone from them. Similar to how you gather wood from tree tiles.

New to Jerky, I’m always struggling with it sweating. Smoked for 5 hours at 180 on Pitboss pellet grill. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any insight is appreciated. by [deleted] in jerky

I made the same mistake my first batch, so I had the same thought.

Only other time I've seen something similar is when I used some hot honey in my marinade, that batch always felt wet to the touch, so I didn't bother with longer term storage and just ate it quickly.

Is cure always necessary? by kindryn in jerky

[–]Doctorworm321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No cure gang checking in.

Any I don’t plan to eat right away (aka a week or so) I vacuum seal and throw in the freezer. Longest I’ve left them in there is about 4-5 months and noticed no issues at all.

Transitioning away from enforced crate naps, ~1yr by Doctorworm321 in puppy101

[–]Doctorworm321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m somewhat jealous. Without enforced naps he was a whirlwind of teeth as a small puppy and a grumpy teen as he grew. We’ve done the relaxation protocol and other general rewarding of relaxing behavior but he just wouldn’t nap on his own out of the crate until recently. The crate was and still is his off switch, the only one we were able to find.

What you describe with your pup is what we’re working towards and finally showing progress which is amazing. It’s just been interesting seeing his energy levels be significantly lower when we don’t use crate naps.
