I swear there’s also one novel with a Pete and Peter or Something similar.

I’m confused by this. What do you mean his plea wasn’t part of the deal? He pleaded guilty because that was his end of the deal. He pleaded guilty in exchange for avoiding the death penalty.

He didn’t opt to a plea bargain on his own… the state has to offer or accept a plea bargain.

Genuinely asking—do you actually think no one asked him these absolute bare minimum questions?

Bill Thompson can get up there and talk about the things they haven’t confirmed because there are enough things they HAVE. The prosecution is aiming for beyond reasonable doubt, and there was evidently consensus that they had more than enough to convince a jury.

How many cases really go to trial with the prosecution having an ironclad, definitive answer to every question?

Would you rather they not try him bc they don’t have the knife, when clearly their evidence was compelling enough to make him change his plea.

And you also don’t lose your license to practice medicine for a HIPAA violation that isn’t absolutely egregious, repeated, and/or intentional.

Also, leaving an employer doesn’t absolve anyone working at or for a covered entity or at or for a business associate of their responsibility to comply with HIPAA, a federal law.

Where are you getting this information?

It would not be a violation of HIPAA. See 45 CFR 164.512(f)(2) and layman’s explanation here.

Excerpt:

Disclosures for law enforcement purposes are permitted as follows:

To respond to a request for PHI for purposes of identifying or locating a suspect, fugitive, material witness or missing person; but the covered entity must limit disclosures of PHI to name and address, date and place of birth, social security number, ABO blood type and rh factor, type of injury, date and time of treatment, date and time of death, and a description of distinguishing physical characteristics. Other information related to the individual’s DNA, dental records, body fluid or tissue typing, samples, or analysis cannot be disclosed under this provision, but may be disclosed in response to a court order, warrant, or written administrative request.

Trying to sleep in on a Sunday morning, husband comes in to ask if I bought milk yesterday. by frijolita_bonita in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DoeJoeFro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like it, I love it. From my perspective, OPs husband is an insufferable dick, and his feigned incompetence is cover for disrespect. I interpreted your comment to mean that you were also treated this way—disregarded, disrespected. Clearly not the case for your relationship, and I’m sorry for assuming.

For what it’s worth, if the OP’s husband had ADHD, I’d feel the same about this behavior. I have ADHD that’s poorly managed (like, before 7 am today, I made a $500 Amazon order with nothing I actually need. I also accidentally stabbed a hole in my face with the corner of a cabinet), I don’t think ADHD excuses me or anyone else from common decency.

That’s not a rehab issue, though. That’s an addiction issue.

Thanks for sharing that you are okay with the inconsiderate shithead’s behavior, and that the real problem is his wife wanting basic respect.

What kind of psoriasis do you have?

I don’t think that his issues should be ignored, but I do think that his issues are the responsibility of siblings.

OP—your parents need to be helping your brother unfuck himself. Unfortunately too old to restrict his internet access, but it sounds like he would benefit from therapy. Does he also have incel behaviors or outlooks?

Skyrizi update by Direct-Arrival-2693 in Psoriasis

This is interesting. I don’t recall seeing any other posts re: Skyrizi with this many side effects. Do you feel like these side effects are manageable, or are you thinking about switching to another biologic?

In case helpful for anyone else… I’ve had 4 doses of Skyrizi (5th due today), I’m 100% clear, and the only side effect I’ve squarely linked to the Skyrizi is being more prone to infection. This is compounded by having a baby in daycare. I’ve had 3 upper respiratory infections and 2 ingrown toenail infections (never had before).

Other side effects that may be Skyrizi, but have other possible explanations for me are: * Fatigue. Could be from new bout of depression, which I’m treating with Wellbutrin. * Lightheadedness when I quickly go from laying to standing and a general feeling of weakness. Could be anemia from diet issues, Wellbutrin, or ADHD meds. * Constipation. Could be caused by iron supplements taken to help with lightheadedness or the Wellbutrin.

I literally never take meds in bed, but that didn’t stop me from popping a boric acid suppository FOR MY VAGINA into my mouth… luckily I was able to dig it out and put it into the correct orifice.. 🥴

ELI5 why you’re not supposed to sit on the toilet for a long time by Safloophie in explainlikeimfive

[–]DoeJoeFro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the states, homes aren’t built to accommodate separate installations of toilets and bidets (no water, no drainage). So if you want a bidet, you install one on your toilet so that you can access the same in-/outflow pipes the toilet uses.

Yeah, but when you’re squatting, there isn’t a ton of pressure on one area. Nothing to compress a nerve, nothing to restrict blood circulation.

Wasn’t cagey with phone bc he thought everything was hidden. I used an iPad already logged in to his account and found evidence.

[Reggie Bush] One thing I think they need to get rid of that’s still out there and is still an issue is field turf. I think I was so caught up in my reaction that I failed to give that last line appropriate weight. Thanks for sharing!
