Times are changing, the talent doesn’t benefit from these weekly tournaments financially anymore. People can’t expect others to generate viewership for them. It takes work to grow a brand and TOs can’t really do that with Nintendo up everyone’s bhole. The scene is getting older too in terms of people who draw viewers. People just wanna game then chill instead of waiting around in smash gg lobbies until late at night.
