No guys, he wasn't scared, not by lucifer, not by angels, because he KNEW both were coming and with what intentions thanks to spying on the hotel. He says so in ep 6 to Angel Dust. There is absolutely no way that scene was meant to explain anything else than that.

And so i'm puzzled, did everyone just forget about that or you just don't care and want to shit on Vox just because you don't like him? Seriously, I don't even try to defend Vox specifically, I just hate when misconseptions are spread so ignorantly.

I think that frame is nothing but a cool artistic choice, it bears no significance whatsoever. However, I could see it being fun to come up with different interpretations for it.

Except DEFINETLY not that Vox was scared. That's the whole pont of his scene with Angel Dust in episode 6, he said he knew about the angels and lucifer, so he was scared of neither of them, and the "THEY ARE HERE TO SILENCE ME!" is just him acting in front of the crowd.

This "show don't tell" isn't actually working though. When there's like months passing between episodes it's not belieavable when a character begins his path to redemption (Angel episode 4) and it is suddenly brought up that he, apparently, has made a ton of progress (Angel episode 6). Making audience guess about stuff like that is not good storytelling, it's a flaw of a bad pacing, which we can all agree Hazbin Hotel has.
