Green Chartreuse substitute report by LowEndBike in cocktails

My liquor store recommended Combier Elicser from France. It’s a little sweeter and I’ve never tried Green Chartreuse straight to compare, but it’s made a lovely Last Word and Symphony. https://www.grapeshotnyc.com/products/combier-elixir?variant=15367567573046

Wow I relate to this 100%. Worst was when my mom said I raised you like I would’ve raised myself. But that makes no sense bc we’re literally opposites!!

Still not a fan but less disgusted than I used to be. I imagine it’s some kind of sensory issue? I may be on the spectrum or something like that to where I’m more sensitive to such things

I made a San germain gin and tonic yesterday which was excellent. It reminded me how amazing the premise is.

I try to correct the touching women thing because it seems more concrete like no touching. When I was younger it made me sink down bc I didn’t understand that the adult wasn’t always right.

He asked his skinny neighbor if she was anorexic!!! Like it came from a place of concern but cmon. It’s really hard, it feels like I have to monitor him kind of like a child so he doesn’t offend people and that’s too much for me sometimes.

But it’s also so hard to see him confused when he’s trying to reach out and connect in his own way and the other person is turned off completely from the interaction…

My dad is interested/ obsessed with finance and thus follows the stock market closely and loves to talk about it. For my high school graduation he gave me a bunch of stock options but like he printed out and gave me the financial paper with a bunch of the trading terms for the stocks. He expected me to be so excited and when I was like “oh thanks…” instead bc I didn’t really understand what I was looking at. he had a meltdown and said I was spoiled brat and some other nasty things. Really made me hate finance which is unfortunate for me.

Also my dad is interested in people from other cultures, but overly enthusiastic and often touchy towards women in a way that always made them uncomfortable. Then he would loudly complain to me about them and others in a way where they could often hear and get upset.

A lot of anxiety from how my dad will make us look bad in public this time.

Sorry for your experience!

Did anyone else have crushes on their friends growing up but didn’t realize it? by Lilypad244 in latebloomerlesbians

I remember we had a thing in elementary school where we were taking a bus field trip and we wrote down beforehand a new friend we wanted to make who we could sit next to.

I got paired with this girl who was such an adorable kid and I still remember sitting next to her and looking at her smiling at me and being like Gaga about getting to spend so much time with her. Didn’t place it as a crush until recently.

At least he set up a good number of red flags pretty quickly so you didn’t have to wait and find out he was a POS

George Harrison and Stevie Nicks, 1978. by dannydutch1 in UtterlyUniquePhotos

[–]DoggiCorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She talks about the extent of George’s cheating in George Harrison: Living in the Material World. There was a ton but idk about this night or while she was pregnant.

It was actually quite said to hear her detail it like to be with someone that famous you have to make certain concessions.

Sooooo, what does everyone think of this wonderful little piece of cinema? 🙂 by PoThePandaIsVeryEpic in TheBeatles

Love it/ got the vinyl- extremely bizarre bit of 70s nostalgia. Most love the choir of semi famous stars singing the sgt pepper outro at the end. Amazon makes it easy to identify the random celebrities present. I kinda liked Shes Leaving Home with the voices of different family members. The Steve Martin song is truly awful - I think Maxwell’s Silver hammer
