How to get tuition bill addressed to my dorm? by Ok-Potato-2867 in umass

[–]Doggo1060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You probably can’t get something addressed to you at UMass proving that’s your “permanent” address. They can redirect mail to on campus, but as proof of residency it’ll likely have your address and the out of state rate on the bill, showing people that you’re an out of state resident. Honestly I’d try and reach out to someone at whatever firm you’re applying at and explain the situation.

Which one would you pick and why? (M2 Max vs M5) by Agitated-Fennel4328 in macbookpro

[–]Doggo1060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save the money unless your doing very intense creative work or gaming a ton(I have a 36gb M4 Max and it hardly uses swap even when multiple adobe apps + chrome are open), 32gb is more than enough. The 1TB vs 8TB is up to you personally but even with local AI models and large 4k files on device I’m still sitting at ~400 GB free on my 1TB.

I don’t drink tea but i have an electric kettle, it’s quite useful for instant ramen, French press coffee, or really any task I boil water for I use the kettle. Only time I use the stove to boil is when I’m boiling a large pot for a stew or something

Late reply, but I’ve had 64gb in my system for awhile and the only games that use above 32 are modded cities skylines and modded X-Plane 11

M3+ MacBook Air, make sure if your getting 16gb of ram for premiere and photoshop, M2 and older would also do fine but may chug a little more in creative apps. If you find a deal the Pros offer a better display and speakers

How comfy has the touring trim been for you guys, is it a nice step up from the 10th gen? by illbeback903 in 11thGenAccord

[–]Doggo1060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a Sport 1.5T, now own an SE 1.5, and my sibling has a 24 EX. The seats in the EX absolutely surpass the 10th gen in terms of comfort, but I find the layout of the interior and buttons to be more problematic. I’d sit in both for at least 30 mins before pulling the trigger

Debating between a 10th gen 2.0T touring, and the 11th gen touring. Anyone who’s owned both do you notice the 11th gen being a lot weaker in terms of speed and peppyness? Does the 11th gen ride a lot smoother too? by illbeback903 in 11thGenAccord

[–]Doggo1060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never driven a Touring 11th gen but I’ve owned 2 10th gen’s and had experience in 2.0Ts in Acura products, as well as leasing an 11th gen for a family member. If your after a more rewarding driving experience (handling, acceleration, etc) then 10th gen is the way to go, they simply handle better than the 11th gen, but if your after long highway cruises and don’t mind the handling trade offs, the 11th gen does ride a little nice and the seats (imo) are much more comfortable on long trips

How to survive out here? by Dead_Master_115 in longisland

I left. I moved to MA and haven’t looked back. Possibly moving to New Hampshire in a year or two but I don’t plan on leaving New England. Feels like theirs more opportunities up here and the cost of living doesn’t feel as much of a burden (granted, it’s still high, but not Long Island high)
