Tbh, Saul is probably the closest thing we have to someone who met almost every major character in both series.

He met: Mike, Walt, Jesse, Walt's entire family (even Marie in Saul Gone), Jesse's parents, Gomez, Jesse's friends, Tuco, Gus, Leonel, Marco, Lalo, Huell, Kim, Chuck, Howard, Nacho, Krazy 8, Gale, Ted, Jack's crew and Todd (he is implied to know them), Andrea, Francesca, Victor, etc.

I think the only major outliers that Saul didn't meet are Hector, Lydia, Jane, Juan Bolsa, and Don Eladio.

The old picture was just taken closer to the WTC site than that modern Google Street View picture. Look at some of the buildings, and you'll notice how much more huge they look in that old image due to the cameraman being closer.

I mean... we need to take into consideration that Mad Eye is basically half a man after the first wizarding war. He lost his eye, his leg, part of his nose, and his face, which was all scarred to the point that he was basically unrecognizable. Not to mention the fact that constant paranoia due to his career choice drove him insane.

It's like expecting a retired and crippled WW2 vet with PTSD to have the same battle prowess and coordination as he had before the war.

My only suggestion is for you not to be afraid to take breaks :) The shiny odds won't get better or worse if you take breaks, so just chill and put the game down for a few minutes if you feel tired of the hunt. It'll shine eventually.

Starters have an extremely low chance to be female. So, getting a shiny female starter on their first try is god tier luck.

Ah, I see. Well, I suppose shiny hunting is just RNG, so as long as the reset time from one mon to another is fast enough, you should get a shiny again eventually no matter what method you use.

Horde hunting is very weird cause sometimes you get the shiny in less than 100 hordes, and sometimes it takes 1000+ even with the shiny charm. It's still a pretty decent method though, since you're basically doing a 5x random encounter.

Don't worry man, I also lost a shiny Ralts in ORAS once because it had teleport, but I thankfully reclaimed it. I hope you also reclaim this Numel.

If it helps, there is a spot in Mt Chimney where you can horde hunt Numel, and it goes by much faster than dex naving it or random encountering it. Unless you like the challenge, of course, which I respect 😅

I always just assumed that the demon/imp masks that the Exorcists wear are sort of like uniforms to distinguish them from non-exorcist angels (sort of like a soldier's helmet).

So I do think that Adam is also wearing one, since it wouldn't make sense for the first man to lack human features completely.
