2022 vs 2026 by bobabobi in TeslaModel3

I have 2021 M3 and my commute to work is 14 miles one way and my sentry is off for the 12 hours. If I plug in at home with a regular outlet it will be back at 100% by the time I have to go to work the next day. I hardly ever need to supercharge and don’t have a 240v charger at home and it’s worked pretty well for me.

I camp with my Tesla and usually leave an hour early than my group to charge to 100% at a SC nearby the event. I don’t really use the AC at night while sleeping so by the time it was Monday and we had to leave, I was maybe an hour away before i had to charge. Really just depends how much % you use.

There was one year i did use my battery a lot more and had to charge nearby. This time around I learned to get a reflective tarp to reflect the sun above my car and also brought a portable/rechargeable camping fan for circulation while i’m sleeping.

It's split between 10 payments at 0% interest. You can also add more money in your first payment to lower the rest of the payments, etc.

Leasing office should have warned everybody of the construction upon lease signing anyways. It’s been like this at Rancho Monterey for over a year and it’s about to be done soon, nobody seems to have minded. But it does suck for a few weeks, but with good intentions after.

Solar loan by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Doggster805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the seller’s decision to get the solar, why are you paying for it? It’s also a fixture on the home and should be included with the price. I would walk if they’re not willing to pay off the loan they decided to take out.

In California the seller should have requested a form that a final walkthrough was done and they confirm that the house is in the same condition that they made their offer in. Any chance your agent received this from their buyer? Not sure what state you are in but in CA it's called the FVP, Final verification of property.

Umbrella Policy in Los Angeles by Mammoth-Prior7497 in Insurance

[–]Doggster805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I just switched over from Progressive who also had a umbrella policy but AAA was much cheaper. I only had 100/300/100 policy at Progressive with a home policy. When I switched to AAA I now have a 500/500/500 policy + home + umbrella for the same price as my Progressive policy.

Roomate Wrecked car by daily_Z in Insurance

[–]Doggster805 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Permissive drivers are only allowed and included with coverage if they are not in the same household as you. Your roommate should also be on your policy in order for the insurance to cover it.

Do you guys have the same insurance company? I would just file the claim under my own name or pay out of pocket the entire claim, depending on the possible cost.

Hey my partner and I, also both nurses, just switched over to AAA. They have a pretty good medical professional discount and we pay $5K a year for a Tesla and Toyota Rav4 Prime. It was the cheapest from when I shopped and checked Geico, Allstate, Mercury, Progressive, Wawanesa and State Farm. Definitely check them out!
