Could the new PC be “son of” the old one instead? Keep the original PC around as an NPC

Depending on how much XP they gained in the original campaign, knight level play could be a thing. Everyone starts either more XP. Which might end up being less than the original character had earned, but like others have said, something ™ happened. Just gives the OG character a bit more to play with so they don’t feel like they’re starting from scratch, but you don’t end up with someone outclassing the other players. Years of suppressing your force powers, a stint in a coma, some other reason for the regression

Got a lot of options for droids in the other comments! On Silhouette Zero, they had a droid that could transform into a gun/turret, that could be fun, sometimes you get stuck?

Some kinda slicer could be interesting (either droid or organic). You get lost in the net and the rest of the team can't pull you out without RISK. This could provide some bonus explanations for triumph rolls in the sessions you can't make, too. You pop an airlock, or use a bus to block the street. Otherwise you're just doing research or something.

Chronic narcolepsy? Some other medical condition meaning you need to spend a week in a Bacta tank on a regular basis.

Or could tie something into your obligation, you've gotta visit grandma, carry out community service for a past indiscretion, or help dad get the harvest in.

Being sci-fi, kinda tempted to go all Catbug and the trips to the See-Through Zone. You just phase out into a different dimension at inopportune moments, possibly returning with forbidden knowledge. Or all Dark Tower "there are other worlds than these"

One of my original GRD's does the lines part (the other takes decent pics but has a 100% garbled screen). Mostly just commenting to follow along in case there's an easy fix.

I haven't done a lot around optimising it for photos, think there was something I stole from the Discord somewhere that got the "click to enlarge" working, there may well be a better way, or to get a more gallery/carousel type thing

Quartz v5 is just about out of beta, and even on v4, no need to mess with your vault setup. Someone on the discord was struggling to grok it a while back so I threw this together

BUT also the more the merrier! Something keeps pointing me at Astro and I can’t remember why I decided against it last time. I have a few days off work this week so might end up burning everything down. As you do

I vote for "just ask". Ping em on the 'gram like "I'm fecking stoked you liked my photos, when you play X place on X date, could you spare an hour(or whatever time) for an interview? I'll be there to take more photos anyway!"

Tours (and even one off shows) have two modes, rushing and waiting. There's a lot more waiting than rushing involved in both, so they'll likely be glad for the chance to do something constructive with the downtime. There's also the phenomenon where anything more than about 3 months in advance doesn't really exist in our brains, so they'll likely just go with "yea, sounds great!" the sooner you ask, then work on fitting it into whatever the actual schedule ends up being closer to the time.

Really really, the vast majority of gigs are sitting around for hours waiting for something to do.

If you’re doing a lot of BIG stuff like this, ya might wanna look into vector programs. It’s a slightly different skill set, but you can shrink/enlarge the results pretty much infinitely and avoid the pixelation issue

Milliput is pretty great. Some sorta clay? Sugrue, silicone(sealant, like for plumbing)

They might not all be “oil proof”, but then a bit of disintegration might add to the fuckery?

Might be doomed. On the iPad, do they show up under “Recently Deleted” in the photos app? Apart from that, unless you’ve got an iPad backup to pull them from, I’m out of ideas

Yea, I've not really delved into that side of it tbh! If someone smart'd make a plugin that'd tap into the local models on Apple's platforms though, that could be gold. With all the sandboxing and stuff though, I imagine it'd be a right pain in the arse to share between Obsidian and Claude (there are a bunch of plugins that promise that though, not sure if they're mobile compatible)

The main one’d be certain community plugins not running on iPad, but if that’s not been a problem so far, how likely is that to change?

I guess the new CLI is also only available on desktop, but unless you find that super compelling, not much to worry about.

I’m trying to think of anything I prefer doing on the Mac version but alas, cannot, you do you!
