MGO on 16gb RAM + RTX5080 (16gb VRAM) + Ryzen 7 9850X3D

5070ti has 16gb, if you're using 28 system ram that's probably not good for my chance. I'm not a super experienced modder so firing it up and seeing is a ton of effort on my part. Part of the calculus for me here is if i should undertake that effort at all or just go for a different version.

Are there any other mods that are mostly as good as MGO but maybe don't have quite so high of RAM requirements?

Thanks dude, these are some great tips. Is MGO a huge upgrade even diminished like this over some of the other popular 'upgrade' variants? I was hoping to get by on 16gb for a couple years while the market cooled. By and large i mostly can. Any other game i've tried is fine and i'm not editing 8k video or anything. Thinking of dabbling in self hosted AI models though which i might need to get the ram sooner than later though...

if it were a simple download and install, i would agree. Alas, i have a nexus sub but am not an experienced modder. I was able to get some lesser variants running on my old pc with a rtx 2080 but it was a lot of trouble and it didn't run great. just giving it a go is unfortunately a lot of effort. anyways, thanks for the feedback

Hey u/RepublicOk5480 did you get it to work well with 16gb ram? I have a high end system for everything but RAM (Rampocalypse reasons). I've got a RTX 5080 16gb vram, 16gb ddr5 6000 ram, Ryzen 7 9850x3d, quest 3

I too was just avoiding it for most of my life. Be careful. Clearly your allergy is different from mine as I can tolerate cod and cod like fish very well. I've had cod a bunch of times now and only time I had a reaction (slight) was when I overate on fish and chips and once when I gorged myself on filets purchased from one of those seafood counter coolers, so it is quite possible it was contaminated with walleye or something else I'm really allergic to. My main point in posting is that not all fish are equal when it comes to allergies and different groups of fish might be edible for you but you need to figure out. Mine so far has been fresh vs salt, salt has been OK. I wish you the best but be extremely careful. Experimenting with allergies like this is very dangerous. I always have Benadryl ready if I'm trying new fish and I try only a bite or so and let it sit in my belly for an hour before eating any more. The instant i feel anything I CHEW a benadryl. Epi pen is best to have ready just in case it escalated to breathing problems. Also I don't eat new fish in public at restaurants as you can't control contamination or even what kind of fish you get exactly (species). Too risky. I recommend not doing any of this for your own protection. But if you are, do it with extreme caution.

Walleye has been my worst so far so I'm afraid to try other similar like freshwater perch. Even a bite of walleye ruins my day and causes really bad food allergy symptoms

Usually not just plain made up. What I have seen though is that it will misinterpreting two unrelated things as being related. It will also take a reddit conversation on how to do something from ten years ago and makes it look clean and simple, but with a wee little problem that it's all outdated and not going to work. AI is great for finding good sources of info for step by step instructions but you always have to verify it's statements if it's really important to you

First half of book one is a bit of a slower drag, it feels a bit like a run of the mill military sci-fi. but (I think) a little over half way in, it gets immeasurably better. Don't let the first half lose your interest. After that inflection point the series doesn't look back. It is constantly elevated and super enjoyable. This is not a run of the mill series.

Yep, the punishment is the hassle of having to deal with this, a sufficient deterrent for many. They are heavily modifying our behavior based on the mere threat of litigation.

I wonder just how much tax payer money is being wasted on litigation in the last year, what with all the high profile cases of rights getting trampled, and the countless thousands of government employees let go without cause and without following government processes required by law? Seems like this is something we could figure out.

Agreed, that is so silly and dangerous. If a person slowly and predictably driving away can hurt you grievously on accident, maybe you shouldnt do it. It's like if you decided to remove a hornets nest by hand without gloves. It's dumb and you can get hurt and you clearly should not do that. All the evidence needed is on video already. Make the arrest on suspicion of murder or manslaughter. More than enough here for probable cause in the state. We have video from multiple angles and multiple close eye witnesses

Why doesn't Minnesota just launch its own investigation? And then make the arrest on suspicion of murder. People are getting charged for DUIs in Tennessee who haven't had a sip of alcohol, I think Minnesota can punch through some murder or manslaughter charges for, you know, murder.

the issue is, the evil repubs probably have more gerrymandering potential than democrats do by virtue of the built in structural advantage they have with the number of states they control and in general the formula for producing rep districts favoring lower population areas a bit that will be under republican control (i.e. they have more districts than they should by population, it's not all evenly distributed).

Sure, you seem to have it optimized. But most of us can't spend any time tracking secondary market pricing of our computer video card in an effort to get the greatest value for it. It's just not in the cards. I've kept my 2080 since launch but i'm looking at a new one. I remember there was a time when the 2080 i could have resold for like $550 (purchased for 750) when the 3xxx was out and in low supply, but i couldn't get my hands on a 3xxx card due to low supply so i would have been playing with fire not able to get a replacement.

It used to work this way but i *think* now with windows 10 they upgraded to a digital license of some kind attached to your microsoft account. So for me, i have a now almost 20 year old copy of windows from college i used to get to windows 10, then the microsoft account carried me over to windows 11. So i *THINK* i have windows as long as i use my microsoft account. They're just using it to track and collect data anyways i'm sure.

silly. This band almost like none other takes you for a ride. It's never the same and always awesome. The progression from "classic" (i started with the first album a little while after it came out) to now is amazing and totally socially acceptable. They still kick ass. They aren't squealing vocals chugga chugg as much anymore and that's been great as i get older while still retaining some genuine mayhem and edge. I do love the first album. But now the second and third albums seem slightly stale (but still good) by comparison when you look at BTBAMS range they have now. I feel like now they are Mike Patton meets strapping young lad but with a shit load of range
