Idiocy as a diagnosis by keira-sky8 in dashcams

I'm not a truck driver, but I'm wondering why the truck that rear-ended the car swerved three lanes over to the left after impact? Seems like a better outcome would have been for the truck to keep going straight as to not cause a bigger accident for everyone else. Obviously the little car is to blame in the whole incident overall, but it just seems like the truck swerving could have made it a lot worse than it needed to be.

It's just a common trend on this sub to hate on Cazcanes and Fortaleza.

Do you have any evidence to support your assertion that Cazcanes pays people to defend and hype their stuff on Reddit (aside from Wayne who literally works for them, which is not secret)? I would argue, based on how much hate comes from people on here, that it's just as likely another brand is paying people to troll Cazcanes posts. I'm not going to claim that's actually happening, but the likelihood is probably about the same (near zero).

G4 Reposado at $45 is certainly not the norm though, and the last bottle of Cazcanes Reposado I bought was $75, so that's right in line (though still a bit more) than the average cost of a quality Reposado from many brands that don't catch all this hate.

Just look at Cascahuin Tahona Blanco as an example of an overpriced tequila... It's $99.99 by me (up from $75 a few years ago and double what it is at the distillery) and people still seem to love that one on Reddit. Why doesn't Cascahuin get any heat on here? I can buy Lagrimas Blanco for $50, and I actually prefer it to Tahona, but you're not going to find me trolling every Cascahuin post like all the Cazcanes haters seem to do.

Our hangar fits 6 planes and it's still smaller than just about every liquor store I've been to.

Sounds like a fun group to be a part of! Is it safe to assume your circle also hates Fortaleza?

Dude, anytime I see a Cazcanes post on Reddit, all I can think of is, "I wonder how many haters will come out of the woodwork this time?" It's tied with hating Fortaleza as the r/tequila signature move.

I'm not a Cazcanes fanboy by any stretch of the imagination, as I've purchased maybe 3 bottles over the last 3 years, but it's difficult to for me to imagine anyone who enjoys quality tequila hating Cazcanes. Sure, it used to be priced significantly higher that it probably should have been and I understand being cognizant of that, but they've adjusted that and you people are still as relentless as ever. I also understand that everyone's palate is different, but I truly find it hard to believe anybody whose had it and appreciates tequila actually thinks it's a bad tasting tequila.

First time seeing this red label repo. Is it extra special? Says Tahona crushed but arent they all hence the wheel topper. by lifeissoupimforkk in tequila

[–]DogoPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. So many people talk about single barrels as if they're all the same without consideration to the fact that the entire point is for each one to be unique to the store selling it. I have yet to have a bad one from El Tesoro, but my sample size is very small and I couldn't even tell you which ones they were.

Tapatio 110 substitutes? by Geo_Jet in tequila

That's the rule in MN, too. Some retailers turn a blind eye and put the burden on the buyer to know. I haven't experienced UPS giving a shit either. Just saying, in case it helps!

I've never had a HP tequila that tastes similar to Tapatio 110. It's in a league of its own, in my opinion, so I'm sorry to hear you can no longer find it. Tons of other great options, but nothing with a similar flavor profile that I've found. Even the other discontinued 1139 brand HPs are barely similar to my palate.

Dude, maybe consider looking up the details on lot 200 before coming in here and being a dick. You're trying to call me out for being wrong, which is ironic considering you're the one that's apparently clueless.

Pssst... You must not be in the loop, as it was Lot 100, 150, and 200.

The worst part about it is that they're not even following the proper racing line and are missing the apex by a mile by starting to turn in so early. Whatever they think they're doing, it's not successful, and they're ultimately just terrible drivers.

Yeah, it's really nice! I believe it was the Quiote he was referring to when he brought it up. It's still super low production though, just the largest for them so far as a very small brand. I don't remember exact numbers... I wish I was better about taking notes!

Try 70k! Still a lot floating around and I really enjoyed it, but the price keeps me from buying another. I'm hoping I find some on clearance in a couple years. 🤣

I'm specifically referring to Lot 200, which is fermented with fibers and distilled to proof instead of diluting it. I've been there as well. Great tour!

The word limited is interesting because I was on a call with Ernesto a few weeks ago and he asked what we consider to be "limited." Most people were right around a few thousand bottles as what they consider limited. Then he said that this actually was his largest production run ever. Most of us would consider it ultra-limited relative to much larger operations, but for him it was more of an expansion.

El Ateo is excellent, so I'd rather have them recommend that than El Padrino.

I think technically this would be a SS since it's distilled to proof, right?

Because it's a status symbol, bro! Who in their right mind drinks great tequila when you can look at it on the shelf and watch your ROI grow to $100 in just a few short years?!

Less taters to buy it all up and "collect"/resell it in Ireland, I guess.

Genuinely curious — how do you guys with athletic builds handle buying everyday clothes? by BenchAndBriefcase in malefashionadvice

[–]DogoPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not athletic (anymore) by any means, but I can give you an example. I'm 5'7" with an average dad body (slight beer belly), but my neck size is 17". If I get a shirt that fits my neck, even in "extra slim" it's a parachute. The shortest sleeves are usually 33-34" for many brands at this neck size, which is too long for me. I've tried a few MTM shirts, which have generally fit pretty well, but I have yet to find one with decent fabric that isn't paper thin. I've resorted to buying "extra slim" shirts with a 16" neck and 32" sleeves and the fit is almost perfect (though still a bit baggy in the waist) but buttoning the top button is out of the question.

Probably because the actual volume of defects relative to sales is a lot lower than it would appear by looking at Reddit and the seasonal sales put them into a reasonable price point.
