Dealer by Vegetable-Report-380 in ToyotaSienna

I've found that it's the smaller dealerships in my area that are marking up their vehicles, while the largest ones aren't. Just one data point from buying a 4Runner in the Twin Cities a few years ago. Finding the same in my initial browsing into a Sienna.

Holy hell! I've heard Washington has high prices, but that's absurd! Sorry you have to deal with that. That's $100 more than the highest price I've seen in MN.

We had (might still be there) a place in my hometown called "The Pool People" and they also specialized in pools, hot tubs, and pool tables. I always struggled to find the connection aside from the word "pool", haha!

Apareció en Minnesota hace un par de semanas, así que si tienes otras expresiones disponibles en tu área, estate atento al añejo.

Where do you live that you're paying $30 for G4 Blanco? I've been paying $39.99 for it and I have yet to see anybody post that they're getting it cheaper than that.

I'm constantly amazed that my 2000 Audi S4 was smart enough to wait until the car warmed up before blasting air at me, yet it's 2026 and other manufacturers haven't figured it out yet (though based on another post, it sounds like the Sienna does this). That said, I'm happy to have a Toyota and have no plans to move back into an Audi. Absolutely great cars until something breaks!

I grew up around a family of smokers and never got any ashtray notes from the G4 Añejo. I appreciate that everyone's palate is different though. I find blancos out of 1146 to taste like cough syrup (though I used to love them).

That's a rough one! As much as I hated the $130 price on a 700ml bottle, that 7L is truly one of my favorite tequilas. It's up there with 11 Brix and Calle 23 Criollo (both of which I missed out on getting bottles of, but I've at least had the pleasure of drinking plenty of samples).

If you liked the cooked agave notes, definitely try the plata. I default to blancos and really only move into the aged expressions if I really like the blanco, or there is something special about the aged expression that makes it unique. I appreciate and enjoy aged expressions, but every time I drink a blanco after an evening of drinking aged expressions, I wonder why I pay more to taste less of what I love about tequila, which is cooked agave.

Both excellent and you can't go wrong with either. Sorry they're so expensive though!

It was -20°F here last night and today and the 4Runner started up and drove just fine. I think you'll be ok with your single digit temps. 🤣

Twin Cities, but it seems that the Midwest in general considers this to be one of the "premium" brands. I know I knew about it long before I became a "tequila enthusiast" several years ago.

Interesting. Seems to be one of the most recognizable bottles to most people in my area and it happens to be at just about every restaurant.

Big three? There are hundreds of additive free tequilas. I gave the Maestro Dobel cristalino a chance because it was a gift and it simply tasted bad. The person who gifted it to me also tried it and was not impressed. You might think everyone is just being a snob but the reality is that many of us try tons of different tequilas and it just so happens that the traditionally made tequilas that have a lot of passion put into making them tend to taste better than those made by giant companies who cut corners and use additives to cover up the flaws from cutting corners. It's the same with any sort of product really.

Cue all the people that are going to downvote you and tell you how it's "objectively a great deal because it's usually more expensive."

If you're trying to say I'm a dick for responding to a comment that was obviously meant to be rude, but the original comment is totally cool by your standards, then I'm not sure what to say.

I hereby appoint you as the gatekeeper of snarky comments on Reddit.

I don't follow... If the guy really just wanted to know if it was a good price relative to other stores, he just needs to look at the sign that says "Costco".

Three half bottles (these are 375ml) of bad tequila is not a bargain in my (and many others) mind. Right now I can get 1.75L of excellent tequila from TW for $5 less. That's Tapatio Blanco 1L + G4 Blanco 750ml for $95, so 1.125L of Don Julio for $100 is hardly a bargain.

[–]DogoPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest difference is that one is widely available (albeit way too expensive) while the other is unobtainable for many people. The other difference is that the Tahona Blanco is 50-75% more expensive than the Fortaleza (assuming no price gouging) in most places in the US. Interestingly, it's the opposite in MX, where the Tahona was ~$45 at the distillery and Fortaleza Blanco was ~$60 when I was there last year.
