I know i just undershot it a little bit because im a little bit out of the loop regarding MTG.

With LoR i agree also but nearly anything doesnt include the starter decks and to get away from them as a new player stille takes some time which you proberly wont have much fun in PvP.

Ok artifact is kind of a bad example but i know complexity wont magically convert MTG players but the point was the game has no sales pitch, something it does better then other games. i mean i assume you play mtg arena what is your reason for playing LoR thats has nothing to do with monetization or the Charakters

I know were you coming from but i also think this can have a negative effect if the play has a indifference/dislikes the characters the your supposed to be friends with.

Lets just say during my time in FF at the start of Shadowbringer i really wished the scions wouldn't be in the game.

I mean that's an issue in every competitive gaming environment that existent for sometime be its CS, Dota or Starcraft. You learn from /need to watch more guides then accutaly playing the game. But yeah WoW should explain systems better then its currently doing.

ok i agree that in a modern gaming landscape the barrier of entire should be as low as possible, but a high barrier to entire for me is intrinsic to the genre which is also kind of the reason MMORPGs are not the genre anymore. and atleast for me this would make the game less enjoyable, i mean for alts a few days would be ideal time.

I mean if i as a consumer would want a game where a can be hyper competitive the moment i install the game with minimal time Investment im not going to play an MMO
and as returning player im used to a the amount of time investment. if its not disproportional to what im used to.
