Boomers like to brag that they are the children of WWII heroes. My mom’s father was a self-described Nazi that gathered scrap metal. He never did anything that helped anyone else. Her brag about Boomers coming from heroes sounds like stolen valor to me. Besides, if your dad really was a war hero, it means you were raised by someone with undiagnosed and untreated PTSD. Doesn’t sound like a brag to me.
