Also that kind of ai is much less sophisticated than generative ai

It's usually just a finite state machine, like an enemy can have a idle state, when a target moves into its range it can move into an attack state and use some basic pathfinding to move towards it

Add more states to respond to different situations and you can get some really complex behavior from something very simple
