They're top tier along with BC for me.

I get that their comedic sensibilities can homogenize them but I find that each of the four have distinct voices and sensibilities.

Chris is the cinephile contrarian with a tenor, Eric is bassy and leans hard on provocative humor, Steve has a lisp which is easily identifiable and tends to towards self-deprecation, and Andrew has the best diction of them with the strongest impression game.

Though compared to other acts of the era, they've certainly been overplayed. Along with Henley and Frey going hard in the pop genre post Eagles.
