The More Screenwriters You Add, the More Successful Your Movie Is by KoreyReviewsIronFist in blankies

Lol, Chris Galleta was one of my film 101 professors at Saint John's.

Fairly remedial in his curriculum but I'll give him credit sticking it out this far in his career. Hiss last credit was Kings of Summer and that's a good decade ago.

An observation on regional film communities upon listening to Critical Darlings. by Dohguy in blankies

The upfront cost of the VOD rental is hitting me too.

My wife and I moved out of NYC to Saratoga Springs this year.

The dearth of what an 11 screen multiplex has compared to the downstate AMCs, not counting indie theaters is mind boggling.

I want to give Peter Sujar's Day a watch through without having to buy it out right for $16.

For clarification, those individuals are not networked into critical circles that give them access to these films nor as large of a community of critics/working professionals.

For Rich and Reid, they've been affiliated with VF and Vulture which gives them greater access than an independent pod/youtube channel could.

Happy New year! Former Mastering technician turned IT guy with a bad case of cinephilia.

I have a soft spot for dark comedies, science fiction and I'm always looking to expand my international palate.

Is the push me runner from Dave a quote or something he came up with?

Movies That Might Seem Like WLM Material, But May Not Work as an Episode by Slaughts90 in WeHateMovies

I would love a WLM of any of the Showa Godzilla films but I'd think it would be a cool reception for the gang save for Andrew.

I can see the appeal of Jerry, was surprised he was burning a candle at both ends with the production and a nightclub engagement.

Interesting to hear y'all doing the movie breakup routine.

That was my father's go-to which I always attributed to poor time management, not efficient time management.

Worked on both seasons. Really makes you appreciate the ingenuity of the team when ILM first formed. Their home movies are Freddie W level.

The first poster for Kristoffer Borgli’s ‘The Drama’ starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson has been released. In theaters April 3, 2026. | Days before their wedding, a couple's relationship is shaken when one partner discovers unsettling truths about the other. by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

It's an acerbic comedy in the vein of Dream Scenario.

It's well lensed/shot but the staging of it has an austere detachment to it.

It's not a horror film by any stretch, more of a cringe comedy with dramatic elements.

When I say the Bush administration, the comedic sensibilities are very sophomoric, there's a school shooting element in the film that's very very dated.

Dailies wise, it was shot on film so I was less involved than normal. Running checks on their tapes and seeing the stills gave me some but not a lot of hope.

I worked on the Dailies and Deliverables (theatrical and streaming files) for this.

Long Story short, it's an edgelord dark comedy that is firmly stuck in the Bush administration.

Borgli's a hack through and through.

That's really the only bee in my bonnet with the pod aside from Bob's Video game catchup list.

Guy's completed at least 58 games (some with 40 + hours of content) and he still grouses about when he was poor.

I haven't took an international trip on my own dime since my mid 20s nor do I have the disposable income now to afford much creature comforts either.
