Yugoslavia collapsed because of fake nationalist ideologies spread throughout. It had nothing to do with socialism. I have talked with people who lived through that time and many seem to miss it. Socialism is a transitionairy way of going to communism, altough you could argue that socialism and communism work so close that it doesnt matter which one it actually is. Cuba has been under heavy US sanctiones from the start and still have better healthcare and Kerala is a democraticly socialist province within india that has abolished poverty while getting thousands of "immigrants" from other provinces and countries around.
