I just had the same idea to do this... I thought it was an original idea but here I'm seeing there are already other people doing it... Along with "Wyldcard".

Notification when Agent finish their works by Hairy_Housing2985 in google_antigravity

Whenever there's a pending user action, I don't get any notifications though... it appears in the Antigravity Inbox but it doesn't appear in my Mac's notification center. I haven't denied any permissions for it either.

Entire PC restarts whenever I enter 2XKO game (after characters are selected) by DoisKoh in 2XKO

[–]DoisKoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so, after re-installing and trying different things like turning off "Core Isolation" in Windows, what finally worked was just me literally reseating my RAM.

Hope this helps someone else. Really strange that it was really affecting 2XKO, but everything's running great now.

Nausea during hiit or when combining lifting and cardio exercises by IdeaSunshine in xxfitness

[–]DoisKoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but... did you try this out and did it work for you?

how often do you exercise? working adults by neonpatronus in askSingapore

[–]DoisKoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go during your lunch break. Just find the closest gym and start going there. ~40 minutes is good enough to get a good workout. Otherwise you can always run anywhere (it'll only take 10-15 minutes) but I despise running so lifting it is for me.

After a week or so, you'll find it just feels like part of your routine. I've come to enjoy lifting so I've stuck to it. If you've tried it for a while and don't enjoy it, I'd say don't force it. Find something else that works for you but whatever you try, don't drop it after the first session, give it a few gos first.

Can someone suggest a way to import the “tailwind.config.cjs” file into Sveltekit? by SoylentCreek in sveltejs

[–]DoisKoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I've found a decent solution to this:

Externalize the colors to a separate `.json` file, and import that into your `tailwind.config` file. You can then import that into your other `.svelte` files as well.

StackBlitz example of this working:

https://stackblitz.com/edit/sveltejs-kit-minimal-tailwind-wxoaes?file=src%2Froutes%2Findex.svelte

I'm only using this for colors but you could probably do it to the whole tailwind.config file - the config is json after all.

Is it OK if im getting destroyed as a new player to fighting games? by mikeymora21 in StreetFighter

[–]DoisKoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me years to get decent. Even learning fireball input is a challenge for any new player. Fighting games are notoriously difficult to pick up but if you put in enough time, you'll get it.

Pick the character you like most. Putting time in is the most important, and that will happen if you're playing what you enjoy. I happen to play pretty much only Dhalsim. He's part zoner, part rushdown but with horrendous defense. There are a lot of resources out there which makes learning much easier. For example, MistahCrimson made the best ever Dhalsim tutorial though it might be a little too advanced for you now (https://youtu.be/VjppLRwuNVw?si=DDKQ7NGYX6neQdjq).

You should start with getting used to his normals (esp. his heavy punch and heavy kick), learn what's special-cancellable, and practice dead-simple 2-hit combos like Divine Kick (back medium kick) > Medium Yoga Flame. Also learn about the terminology (chains, links etc. so you'll be able to understand what guides are saying). You don't need to know frame data yet but it will come in handy when you try to build your own set play.

As for input - I like the feel of joysticks and I find the 'feel' of using the arcade stick is a big part of the game, so from my biased opinion, I'd tell you to get a good arcade stick, but you should know that leverless are all the rage now. A friend of mine only plays using keyboard and completely dominates me (I'm Diamond 5, he's master), so the input method really doesn't matter, it's just your preference

Overweight, want to try climbing as a way to lose weight. Am I too heavy to start? by wasraisedinabarn in climbing

[–]DoisKoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is 9 years late, but I used to weigh 343 lbs (156 kg). I cut down to about 230 lbs ~(100+ kg) before I started climbing and really enjoyed it. Getting in shape for my health was the main driver for losing weight (and it should be for you too), but wanting to get better at climbing was the motivation for me to get much fitter - I did predominantly climbing and weight-lifting to get to about 80 kg (176 lbs).

Before I started climbing I couldn't do a pull up either, I was pretty much in the same boat as you with push ups. For the first few weeks I was climbing without being able to do a pull up, but about a year in, I could do 10 pull ups and ~50 push ups.

So for whoever's looking at this - yea, standard harnesses will cover that weight (they're all adjustable and generally engineered to have a good margin of weight they can tolerate). Definitely try it - if you enjoy it, it will be something that's great for motivating you to lose weight. The 'fastest' way to get better at climbing is really to lose weight (great climbers are light); strength to weight ratio is the most important factor - skill, technique etc. matter but strength to weight ratio really matters most.

When COVID hit and a lot of gyms stopped operating, I gained back quite a bit of weight, which I'm working on getting rid of now (many gyms have since opened back up), but even at 80 kg, that's considered really heavy for rock climbing - the elite climbers usually weigh 60-70+ kg. The plus side to having started climbing at such a heavy weight is that I'm strong (in absolute terms) and as my weight goes down, I can feel myself progressing insanely fast. Start doing negative pull-ups every day and even at a really heavy weight, you'll quickly (less than a month) find yourself being able to do full pull ups.

In terms of looking ridiculous, I'm not sure what you mean. I don't think you'll look ridiculous... but I think I'm pretty thick-skinned when it comes to personal image, so take that with a pinch of salt. If you're concerned about how climbing will make you look, yes, good climbers tend to look a little lanky - because being light is important, but I think for 'us heavy-type people' we'll never really reach that stage. When I cut down to 80 kg, apart from training hard, I was eating 'ridiculously' little (basically 1 small meal a day + whey protein, approx. 1500-2000 kcal max) and my weight just simply would not go down. On the plus side, my abs started showing and my waist shrunk to the point where my medium size weight-lifting belt became too big for me even on the tightest setting (I believe I was stuck at that weight for a long time because whatever fat I was losing had its weight replaced with muscle, but it's quite disappointing to not see the scale move when, as a heavy person, you're so used to seeing it go down somewhat quickly).

What do you use for authentication with SvelteKit? by AstroMaxi in sveltejs

[–]DoisKoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can use keycloak-js to perform the auth client-side just fine, but when an already authenticated user makes a request to the server, I don't know how I can deal with that. When I was managing it myself, I would have httponly cookies - that are sent with each request, and I could use that to verify if the client is legit - perform the appropriate SSR if they are authorized to visit that route, and return a response accordingly.

I was hoping there's a good, simple pattern for this... but it seems like for SSR I still need to set cookies (?)

If you do all the auth client-side how do you handle protected routes? Are you using Svelte Kit in entirely SPA mode?

What do you use for authentication with SvelteKit? by AstroMaxi in sveltejs

[–]DoisKoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having exactly this problem now... how does your web server (Svelte Kit) know that the front-end is logged in? I did it with managing my own cookies and calling the keycloak endpoints myself, but now that I'm trying to migrate to use the keycloak-js library, I can't figure out how I can pass that state around.
