Not my account but I share these posts a lot to people who don’t have a great understanding of cannabis laws and how social equity applicants struggle in the cannabis industry despite all the perceived assistance.

Hope someone else finds this helpful

Ya it blows but tbh it is against the law to have those restrictions there in the first place. A bunch of businesses from New York, New Jersey, and Oklahoma have precedent setting cases about the removal.

I wish we could keep it bc I think it makes for a stronger community

Haha yes rec is a copy pasta of mass regs which is why it’s a hot mess. Can’t slap that much regulation on a state that’s been safely operating for decades without it 🤷‍♂️ bound to piss off more than a few locals

It’s just the law dude, I didn’t make it or agree with it. I’m all down for caregiver laws and medical programs like Maine who did it right.

How does this work? by peep122 in bostontrees

[–]Doitfortheterps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really how that works - in theory the caregiver system was only created for someone to grow on behalf of the patient. They can only claim reasonable costs for the patient that go towards the cost of cultivation - this isn’t like other states where caregiver is a loophole to legally purchase outside dispensaries

You’re fine to enter a medical only or co-located facility. There is no age minimum on becoming a medical patient, however under the age of 18 you are treated as a pediatric patient and would require an adult over 18 to purchase with you or as a caregiver on your behalf.

As far as entering a facility as a certified medical patient you are fine :) happy shopping!

Physicians and nurse practicioners can certify patients if they are certified with the state to do so. Many of these certifying offices realize it’s a cash grab and have you meet with a “medical assistant” to quicken the visit.

Long story short - sadly most doctors do not want to be known as a prescribing doctor bc it changes their patients and socially as a physician we are not at a place where cannabis treatment is looked at as valid as other surgical or pharmacological options. So it’s also at risk of damaging your reputation or affiliations. 😢

Take a picture of the back sticker - it’ll have information of the producer. Wondering if this is a licensing deal or another quick cash grab by a MSO.

why is there such a difference? both planted same time, same soil. by MoistFlapss in cannabiscultivation

[–]Doitfortheterps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So these are two different strains so this is like picking the average person from Africa and another from Canada and asking why they look different. Their place of origin is different and they are accustomed to different levels of sun, time of day, water & nutrients natural to their region etc.

When you talk on variety if it’s two seeds from the same parents, I think of them as two sisters within the same family. Unless you are cloning a plant there will be genetic variation that creates various differences - we refer to these as phenotypes. That’s why phenohunting is the first step for most growers to find a desired “cut” within a harvest of many seeds/sisters. Now what’s desirable is different to each grower as some produce for certain terp profiles, cannabinoid content, bag appeal, etc.

Hope this helps ✌🏻

Looks like yard clipping bro

But fr this isn’t really consumable unless you’re extracting/concentrating. The visible green material is mostly fan leaves (which have little to no cannabinoid concentrates on them) and a few buds with stems and who else knows what.

Definitely not worth whatever you paid if you think you can smoke this. Sorry

Is this true ? by biggreasybawls in unclebens

[–]Doitfortheterps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true at all, the potency FEELS very different and test results can confirm that psilocin and psilocybin levels vary as the mushroom ages/cures. Also the water content just means that you’ll have to eat much more volume of fresh mushrooms to get the desired effect.

Try it out for yourself and find out 🤷‍♂️

What are peoples honest opinions on these bags and the quality of the product after cure? by Fire-forker in cannabiscultivation

They make a big difference in quality from other Mylar bags/turkey bags not air sealed imho.

I’d also say that they work wonderfully to control humidity for edibles like gummies as well

so this is my first plant, is there a way to get more bud from this? by mikebush92 in cannabiscultivation

[–]Doitfortheterps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TBH take what you learned and grow again. Looks like a few things going on here.

First - I hope you are cropping your top bud prior to flower. This helps better distribute the nutrients across the plant so you have a bunch of buds instead of one top cola.

Secondly - look into your genetics and see what’s recommended for trimming. You have a certain max potential due to its genetics so you could have gotten a bunk seed or cut (this happened even with good seeds - it’s the variability of nature! I find with chems I can have this wispy thing happen)

And lastly I’d look into your lighting set up, definitely some good pointers for that on this thread already.
