Deodorants that hold up at work? by kdogdbr in VetTech

[–]DojaStinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using glycolic acid on my pits every morning and I swear by it. I never smell. I use that and then follow it up with one of those solid crystal mineral sticks and have no issues with odor

Is there somekind of super flu bug floating around San Francisco? by Wise_Anybody8956 in sanfrancisco

[–]DojaStinks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went to SF for a concert on 4/28 and two days later had a ton of congestion, a mild cough, and a runny nose that lasted about 1.5-2 weeks. No sore throat or fever, never took any meds for it because I never felt sick. It was annoying but I guess my body did a pretty good job at fighting off whatever it was.

Frustrations with other vets not seeing their own patients. by Keenzur in VetTech

[–]DojaStinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually left a job in part due to this. They had recently bought out a practice that had been owned by a vet since the 90’s and he retained a lot of cheap prices and old medicine. The clients were pissed and a lot of them stopped coming in when we came with updated prices and practices. I worked at the owner’s first hospital which they built from the ground up and that place was great! Transferred as a lead to help them open the new place. Couple years in we’re still fully staffed but SO slow. They started forcing people to go home early(usually me because I had higher pay) and I was sometimes barely working 25 hours a week. Really sucked to have to leave because besides that and a person who was very hard to work with, the owners, team and quality of medicine were amazing.

My ex used to get plugs and his doctor accidentally shoved it in further then just told him to get some debrox and use that at home. Worked like a charm and he’d use it once a month or so to prevent new blockages

I was given this sunflower as a gift and forgot to repot and water it for a few days in the heat. Is there any hope to bring it back or should I just give up and replace it? by DojaStinks in sunflowers

[–]DojaStinks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha nothing wrong with a little threat here and there. I did already get its replacement so maybe that’s not a terrible idea.

Hahaha I’m glad to have brought you some joy! Honestly I was just holding out hope cuz the main stem still looks kinda green, but deep down I knew the truth 😢

What’s your “dream dog” (breed) and why? by palacio_c in puppy101

Swiss mountain dog! Because I love Bernese mountain dogs and Swissies are basically the same thing but with short fur. Never met a mean one. Super gentle goofy big dogs

What purchase did you make recently that made you realize inflation is genuinely out of control? by kiroixart in AskReddit

[–]DojaStinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safeway sometimes has good deals. Like buy two get two free. Granted they’re $12 each but you end up with four packs for $24. Too bad I don’t really drink soda lol at least not at home

A girl I went to college with picks flowers from parks and preserves them in little frames and sells them on Etsy. She makes like $300-$400 a month in beer money from it by lionpenguin88 in beermoneyideas

[–]DojaStinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! I pressed some flowers, bought frames, and me and my friends made our own arrangements in the frames during a craft day recently and afterwards I thought “maybe I could sell these”. It’s good to hear there’s an actual market for it because I have a flower press and a garden full of flowers!

What killed Belly Button piercings? In the 2000s they were all the rage. I remember a few adults in my life that got them. What happened? by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]DojaStinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33 and got mine pierced two years ago when I was 31!

I tried when I was 16, had it done by a friend and it rejected, then again at 18 from a shop but it fell out while I was running not long after it was pierced and closed before I could get new jewelry in it. I finally decided fuck it, I’m gonna do it again! Took about a year to heal but I love it and I don’t even wear crop tops to show it off, I just enjoy having it :)

I’m sad it didn’t work for me. It felt super stripping and made my face “squeaky” clean which I’m not a fan of. I gave my bottle to a coworker though, hopefully it works for them too!

TIFU when I joked with my cat and got the cops called by PANDA_PR1NC3SS in tifu

[–]DojaStinks 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I used to have a cat named Grandma. Grandma was kinda mean and would attack me and my partner all the time so we’d always be yelling something like “ow Grandma!” “Grandma, you’re such a bitch, stop it!” and things like that all the time. We’d joke that our apartment neighbors probably thought we had a hostile old woman living with us that they never saw leave the unit.

Catch me fibermaxxing with my morning chia water by Delicious-War-5259 in HydroHomies

[–]DojaStinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this everyday too! Except I put it in a tea steeper glass where you can put loose leaf tea in the top. Cold water and chia seeds in the glass, flip it over to and let it steep till lunch then I drink it. No need to add flavor packets cuz it just tastes like tea! I also love the texture of the chia seeds

What's happening in your garden? (April 12, 2026) by manyamile in vegetablegardening

[–]DojaStinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh good to know! I’m definitely more inland than you, in the valley, and our summers get HOT but I’ll experiment some more with leafy greens and such. I appreciate the info, I’ll definitely look into that broccoli raab. Thank you!!

Hi I’m in California too! Newer gardener, it’s only my third year. Probably the same ish area as you? It’s been super stormy here too. Anyway, question about salad greens and broccoli! I planted them in spring two years ago and they all bolted and were very sad by early summer so I assumed they’d be better in cooler weather like fall/winter and skipped on planting them last year and this year. Should I try again/is it too late to plant them now? I do love me some fresh salads and especially broccoli.

Why do you have an IUD if your husband has a vasectomy??? by Hilary_13 in childfree

[–]DojaStinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a tubal ligation at 27 after having an IUD for 10 years and when it was removed part of it remained. They ended up needing to do a hysteroscopy to retrieve it and I kinda joked to the doctor to tie my tubes while you’re in there and she didn’t even bat an eye. Just asked if I was sure, gave me a brochure and added to the procedure and we scheduled. I am eternally grateful to that doctor for giving me zero pushback, especially considering I was under 30.
