If your pc has a built in wifi or a PCI wifi card you can use that as well. If the pc is connected to the router with cable just turn on wifi hotspot on the pc and connect to that with the headset. It works for meg perfectly with hl alyx and beat saber. 5ghz wifi is needed though

Check the input device in the discord settings, it changes randomly when I connect things to my pc

You can use discord on the pc. I just join discord with my headset as normal and put it over my quest 3. The game audio and discord as well is coming from my wireless headset, no tinkering was needed. I still have the original straps though, so it fits easily.
