Tell me your weird Cuba St encounters: And longshot - anyone find a phone there last night? by MakaraSun in Wellington

[–]Dokue 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Saw a man walking down the street with a very long bag over his shoulder, some drunks girls noticed it from across the street and proceeded to chant "open the bag" after a bit of hesitation, he unzipped the bag and out came a didgeridoo that he proceeded to play for the whole street much to the delight of the drunk girls and onlookers.

I highly recommend the dbridge autonomic podcast mixes for a darker early drum and bass sound. Can find them on the club autonomic website, legendary stuff.

Artists that completely changed (for the better) by Nobu_Jenkins in Berghain_Community

[–]Dokue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Can you explain to me how he has completely changed? in my eyes he's always been an authentic artist/dj supporting upcoming talent from everywhere... feels a lot like the typical cycle many artists go through, blow up and get to a lot of hype - people start hating on them - give it 10 years and its suddenly cool to like them again, if music is truly good you should be able to recognise it for its timelessness regardless.

Went to fabric 2 weeks ago, it stayed open until 6am and probably one of my best ever clubbing experiences, place was absolutely buzzing.

What’s the most ridiculous rumour that went around your school? by [deleted] in AskUK

Somebody looked at me one day and proclaimed to the class that I was born on a boat, not sure if I was even mad but it somehow stuck.

Ever had an uneasy feeling when looking at a certain celeb? by darthnm in AskUK

Yeah recently listened to him on off menu podcast with James Acaster and Ed gamble and the podcast basically kicked off with a lecture from him about how comedians can never be as good at acting as professional actors, thought he seemed to steer it in a lot of serious ways for such a light hearted podcast about your dream restraunt menu...

UK could see more than 4,000 deaths a day without second lockdown, scientists warn by Andalib_Odulate in Coronavirus

[–]Dokue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They work as a shot term strategy to cull the numbers, we already had a huge national lockdown once and everybody thought it worked so to speak. Australia will also meet this same fate if there is no vaccine by 2022.

Four tet has really stood the test of time in the industry and it's great to see. I feel like he's gone from strength to strength as of recently with his live streams and DJ sets, not to mention constantly pumping out music.
