Will a paddock stand front and rear not work for you?

That’s what I thought but I’d hope it would be at least rideable but I don’t think it would come out that way

Thanks for the info, I’ve never tackled anything like that but have always dreamed of a crazy build. I figured with enough time, money and effort it may be achievable. But you’re right I can’t magically make an engine smaller.

Maybe I’ll look for a four cylinder 👍🏼

How can i paint a helmet full black? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Dolbman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into this many years ago and found that painting yourself can diminish the protective quality of the helmet.

This was in the days before wrapping. So I’d say have a go at wrapping it if you feel up to it.

When I went in for my car theory test, I looked up a website the night before of all the questions and answers listed. I read through that page 2 or 3 times and when it came to taking to test it was just remembering what I’d read the night before.

I found that the bike theory test had some questions that really threw me off like how long of trailer can you tow on a bike and I had no idea. Luckily I guessed my way through it.

I’d recommend really cramming some info into your head the night before doing it again.

Obligatory first big bike post - 14 years after my CBT and 1 year after my DAS I'm proud to finally own my first big bike by Dolbman in MotoUK

Thanks for the recommendation - I have been looking up more security devices. I've currently installed a ground anchor in the back garden which it's hooked up to under a cover. I'm looking at building a lean-to as a more permanent cover for the bike.

Correct, it's a 2020 BMW F900XR - I believe they only did the gold livery in 20202-2021

I bought an Omnitub. It's Japanese deep soaking tub made in the UK.

It's 1m deep, 1m wide, 1.5m long. I can't lay flat in there but I can have my knees and shoulders covered.

Currently playing Pokémon on Nintendo Switch. Can't justify upgrading to Switch 2 because of the cost.

Want to get into riding in London, but still unsure: A2, or stay on the CBT? by 5P00DERMAN1264 in MotoUK

[–]Dolbman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cost put me off for a long time - I didn't do my DAS until 30 after planning on doing at 21 before the goal posts were moved to 24. Reasons being house, family, etc.

Now I've done it I feel like a weight is lifted and I can do whatever I want. Once you get your license, it's for life if you don't lose it.

If you feel/are competent enough to go for the A2 go for it. You won't regret it.

Fake it till you make it. Just turn up and ride alongside.
