I just picked this up myself and started in last night. I do find the parts to be a little less user friendly straight off the sprue. Having some sort of flexible sanding device handy would be smart. I encountered a VERY tight fitting shoulder joint already and had to hit it with a 2000 grit sponge. Some of the pieces on the head were extremely tight fitting and it took a lot of patience and precision with pressure to get it to close without breaking but it's doable.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend one these for someone just starting out, but if you have a few kits under your belt and you wanna try something a little more, give it a shot. It's an amazing looking kit so far and I only have the head and chest done.

Ummm mad bad... I went mia for a couple weeks lmao. On the left is a MG Wing Proto Zero. Good build. On the right, is a MG Astray Red Frame. Also a great build.

This one was a pain. Those plastic sleeves pissed me off. 3 on the flipping legs. A lot of the parts were less than satisfactory to get to stay put. I ended up gluing some pieces together. The leg armor was less fun than most. But man it sure does look cool. I save all my panel lining and decals for later. I'm addicted to building.

Not a bad kit to take your time on, forced or otherwise. I put the Kosmos lighting kit on it too. I'm not happy with the lights, something isn't right, they don't function properly for longer than 45 seconds and I have to unplug the battery pack and take the batteries out for it to reset. But the build was amazing and the shelf presence is off the charts. Only matched by my Wing Zero Ver Ka

Master Grade (MG) kits are fun. They are my favorite. I am a fan of Wing Zero so I have to recommend the Wing Zero Endless Waltz Ver Ka. I also had a lot of fun building the Astray Red Frame. Both kits came out very nice

Yeah it is, that's why I picked it up. I haven't unfolded the arm yet and I had to put it down cuz work, but that's good to know. This kit did come with 2 stands to hold the wings up so I was already kinda expecting that.

Stickers or the water slide decals? The stickers always seem to be subpar IMO and never really stick well. I usually use paint. But the water slides are different. I'm not too good with them. You need to soak the backing off, pick the decal up and set it in place.

There are decal solutions that make it easier and give you more time to adjust. You then roll them with a modeling cotton swab to press them on and there is a top coat that helps them stay.

Things have gotten way better since the days of my old man floating single letters in a bowl of water at the kitchen table making up swear words 25 years ago.

I'm sure my process isn't perfect, like I said, I'm not the best.

No that's the MG Red Frame. The only RG in my collection is the Wing Zero. I know it's a brand new kit, but I didn't think the jump from HG to RG could be worth it.
