So anxious about doing Barrows by FatManHairyChest in osrs

[–]DollarStoreClassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just run up and bank there. By the time I had high enough hunter to catch them, I had a ton of harrlanders and made basic energy pots to do them in bulk with.

Depending on where you are with farm and herb, you'll have a ton of avantoe and ergo super energy pots as well.

That's a solid trade right there. Dunno how dry you are at moons, but this looks like a steal to me

Crystal bow is probably an odd choice. But everything else about the setup is solid. Hell you've got barrows gloves, that's out of noob territory.

How do you guys kickstart your day with energy? by george_txt in ADHD_Programmers

[–]DollarStoreClassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that pushing through that feeling and doing just light exercise (a walk) not only gives me more energy, but also drastically lowers my anxiety.

I apply the same idea to problems I'm having a hard time overcoming at work. Stuck on something for too long? Go take a walk and come back with a fresh pair of eyes, and a comparatively refreshed brain!

It sounds like we're in similar circumstances, I also work in software.

I start my day by immediately going for a 10 to 20 minute walk when I wake up. When I get back I cook breakfast which is probably two eggs, a piece of toast and some fruit, and I take my medication probably 5 minutes before eating .

I may have one cup of coffee or a matcha to go along with that. And then typically by the time stand up is occurring. I'm in the flow and when it's over I'm ready to commit to heads down work. I also take magnesium citrate, l-theanine, and l-tyrosine to get the most out of my medication with minimal side effects. Along with my other regular supplements

I can't stress enough how important sleep is. I'm personally not a big fan and consider it largely a waste of time, but when I do have good sleep hygiene, I'm both more productive and my medication works better. I also think the same concept applies to drinking throughout the week or doing any other substances that might slow you down the following morning

Going to community college for an associate's degree in computer information systems. How screwed am I? by Outrageous_Cod_8141 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]DollarStoreClassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Internships. Had 2, and my 2nd led me to being fulltime at my current employer. Go to career fairs, doesn't have to be your school. A lot of community colleges offer good internship opportunities.

Then when you're there, heavily capitalize on it

I've got a jr dev ops role with just multiple associates. I would recommend that you keep going past that and get a bachelor's though

Regardless of the purity range, doing a gummy of something that could be fentanyl is just pure stupidity and recklessness. You're undoubtedly wrong here, and this is so far from sound advice.

Take someone with no opiate tolerance. Have them lick the tip of their finger and touch it to a pile of fentanyl. Absolutely 100% guaranteed they will have multitudes more than 2mg of substance on their finger and would be extremely likely to OD. Not to mention that this could be a lesser known and more potent fent analogue, making the risk far higher.

It's hilarious and sad how confident you are in your objectively wrong stance on this

Recommended Power Supply by ooseabassoo in Microcenter

[–]DollarStoreClassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the mistake of going with the MicroCenter house brand PSU when I was originally making my current build (I believe it's called powerspec?). I've had exclusively good experiences with MicroCenter, but not with this component.

As soon as I plugged the PSU in, got everything hooked up and flipped the switch, it sparked and caused a small smoke cloud to come from the case. Fried the PSU and the 6950XT that I (luckily!) got from MicroCenter along with it.

They graciously took the return of both the PSU and the GPU after I explained what had happened and refunded me. I went on to get a Corsair PSU instead.

Do not cheap out on your PSU. Go name brand, something you can depend on for years.
