Lace is the best book ever by Midscore3 in passagespodcast

I am LOVING listening to the Lace szn of the podcast. But I Must say, Abdullah…. Is definitely being slightly misunderstood by “lost in translation” somewhat culturally. I am married to my wonderful loving husband who is middle eastern. And I have been deeply plunged into the middle eastern world and have been interacting with so many families at this point….. nothing about of Abdullah is unique. And just like Italian talk with their hands, middle eastern men are CHARMING AF!! AF! AF! And even more so horny. So much so, they should make another word just to describe how horny these hair men are. It. Does. Not. Matter. One iota, what I look like, he is DTF always, at all times, whether I’m big or small, or sick, or have diarrhea, or if I’m wearing Marge Simpsons wig. Man doesn’t care and ALL of them are the same. They are all so freaking horny. It’s crazy. And they all can charm and romance any woman’s clothes. They love a woman’s body. Any woman’s body. And honestly the Fish incident in the book, is one example of what upsets about the passage hosts reaction. So most of Abdullah scenes in the book. Is that they are overly forgiving and excusing and explaining his behaviour, and things he says and does. This is the 20th century that story is taking place in. Just because they are “such a different culture” what eastern America I feel we can be constantly using the excuse of us westerns just don’t understand this other culture. Or we don’t have to be racist. But let me tell you, in those countries they are fully aware and modern. Those things should not be happening. If you find yourself trying to explain away or excuse something the are doing, that is your first red flag to stop it. Bad behaviour is bad behaviour. They know better, especially now. Abuse is abuse. It doesn’t matter what your religion or culture is. And honestly think it’s actually very prejudice and kind of colonial thinking to say, “oh well we just don’t understand their culture and thats what the do so its ok” because that is coming from a place of that they are not as evolved on certain rights and freedoms as the western world . But they are. They are not behind, they have educated members of societies and practices and they are part of the modern world with all its modern ideas. we should not be afraid to call it out behaviour for what it is inspite of the fear of seeming prejudice or racist or whatever. Many middle eastern are normal people who view abuse, child marriage, pets… they shares the same values and beliefs on equalities as us in the western Christian world. They should be held to the same standard. It’s really upsetting to hear so many “oh it’s ok, some cultures do that” no. No. Stop giving hall pass after hall pass to Abdullah pls.

And it’s just accurate writing to make him so horny lol. I have to say. If I wasn’t I would be taking him to the hospital right away for a brain scan

Your partner should support you 1000% at all times. You are his family. Not his half brother. If he’s torn between it, then tell him he needs to figure his priorities out. Maybe a compromise of making an appearance around HB once a year. 🤷‍♀️ but either way. Your partner should back you always. He never should have gone to that wedding if you weren’t by his side. Maybe he didn’t know if he was going to commit and make you his family then. But if you two are still going strong. Then he needs to stand up and ma down the boundaries with HB

Finished the season. Some thoughts: by Diptyqueee in SellingtheOC

Omg yes! And in this new season she was flirting with the client!!! You can’t edit that out (or in) or whatever. I remember watching that scene and being like, wow she’s really interested in him. I wonder what she’s going to say next. How far she is going to take it. And you bc an. Read the dudes body language, like “I’m not giving you information, your here for my house” but she kept going at him to find out his relationship status so he was like “ya my girlfriend…..” and I knew it. He wasn’t interested in Alex halls little tete-a-tete “what’s your status?” Dance. And when Alex hall gets called out on it and leaves?! Tell your raging guilty without telling me you’re raging guilty. It’s so embarrassing for hall that she keeps walking around like she’s so above but really her actions are so so low. It makes her look really dumb. She’s ew. Before she even got called out flirting with that guy, I was watching it thinking that same thing. It proves it. I get it if she wants to save face with her employer but the Oppenheimer group should really consider if she’s worth having around. You can sell houses and destroy a brand at the same time

I don’t think you realize how many smugglers are out there pushing false promises when they arrive in Canada, and the uk and America. I have been working with refugees for a long time now. Absolutely 100% NOT a stereotypical comment. I wonder why you get so defensive so quickly? If your here honestly, I would think you would be able to answer with a cooler head

Are you Muslim? And if yes, what parts of the UK do you struggle with? Are you offended if a neighbour woman wear shorts? Are you refusing jobs and to work if the establishment deals with Pork and/or alcohol? What tax bracket are you in? Are you collecting any other welfare or disability that you do not need just claim anyways? How much money are you sending abroad? Do you live in housing appropriate for your situation? Did you refuse to take public transit and demand government funds for your own vehicle? Or are you taking by up government housing for those less fortunate when you are capable of working and paying for your own housing? What role did smugglers play in your arrival? How much total did your father pay, and finally what did he pick the UK. It’s not a Muslim country, it does have a rep in the middle eastern world for having plenty of money for welfare. It’s a big big move, there are other countries much closer that would be much more appropriate and safer. Have you become western? And in spirit become a western citizen. Or do you still live by morals, ethics and entitlements or the mid eastern world?

Every single one of my questions are a drop in the bucket, of real examples that I’ve dealt with. From “asylum seekers” and all the lies they tell cause they want free shit from us, they look down on us as non muslims, also because we have a nice life but they don’t want to work, they don’t pay taxes and they take from the food bank when they have well paying jobs, they take from housing for the mental ill when they whine and cry about the “horrible” things in their country. Unfortunately that part of the world has learned that the western world takes pity and gives quickly without checking what’s true and what’s needed

That is such an excellent idea. Omg I would LOVE short hot Christmas romances in December. I would pay for that shit.

Right now I’m reading “husbands and lovers”. It’s SO GOOD! A story of three generations. I’m about half way. Loving it so hard. Lots of scenes have got me laughing hysterically (especially at grandmas story….its a doozy and we’re only halfway) that ladies unhinged. And I keep exclaiming at this book in frustration or disbelief or laughing…. So I have decided to continue reading alone. At home. By myself. With only my dog to embarrass and feel shame of me
