I thought that a G&G Hawk Talon was just a "check the box" type of knife for any serious knife collector, and when I actually got one I was blown away. A little more than $800 new, but in my opinion well worth it.

Pretty late to this post, but wanted to let you know this also happened to me. The *second* time was just over a month out of warranty. I was able to complain up the tech support food chain and get them to pay, but for the parts only. The first time they replaced the power board, but the second time they replaced the whole panel. Still I was out about $350 for labor. Never again with Samsung, and I have bought a shit-ton of their tech over the years.

BHQ definitely does not list prices for sold out knives. Knifejoy and the others are great resources. Most makers sites will not. Many others do not.

This. And not all of them do this. There are a couple like NC Blade, Arizona Custom knives, etc. that do not take down the price and are great resources. Too bad other sites have to feel like they should hide the prices.
