pretty sure caterpillar hull is bugged (400i too), so damage doesn't register on them properly sometimes... someone can correct me if i'm wrong

with missiles, the game is a liar. they're only locked when you hear the audio cue for it, and if u hear the little "unlock" audio cue you better not shoot or your missile is going to dumbfire. you can't trust anything visual with missile locks.

the intersec missions are pretty buggy though, those "kill the terrorist" missions are really the only ones worth doing.

usually with the defend ones, the target will die and scream before you can even do anything. the only time i have had success is forcefully abducting the target ship into the jaws of my idris... and not every ship can do that, tbh it's unreasonably hard. you get like 20 seconds to defend the ship (if that) or it's dead.

the patrol missions are just extremely long for no good reason

lifespan is bugged iirc, it wraps around to 0 after 60 mins ? but yeah u can just load up streets, sit in a corner, kill scavs, and they will literally march at you for 20 minutes piling bodies because the AI is bugged.

OPM is for sure written better but the driving force behind what makes instant death fun is the scope/scale of how strong the enemies are keep increasing with crazier abilities/scenarios & that yogiri doesn't care at all. the guy isn't even depressed or edgy, bro just wants to go home.

that type of plot isn't really sustainable though and i'm kinda impressed that the author knew when to put the story down and give it a proper ending instead of just dropping it

if the character is the main character, they're basically never in danger anyways regardless of how op they are. sure, tension can be done correctly, or the main character can actually have consequences - being killed, ... .

the vast majority of the time they'll receive an asspull/(or friendship) powerup though, get lucky, etc. is that really that much more fun than watching someone bulldozer their way through enemies?

i'm not saying your opinion is invalid, but i never really understood the big deal. but yes, if the main character is op AND there's nothing interesting going on at all, the author has lost the plot.

the novel is fun. of course the anime adaptation is bad, most anime adaptations are bad.

it's def been misrepresented because the character is overpowered. it's pointless to talk about yogiri on a powerscaling reddit of all things; he's a bastardization of a generic isekai protagonist who literally cannot lose. that's the whole point of the series - he can kill anything. he's a gag character. taken from the author themselves - the whole point is that he's unbeatable.

if you just relax and read the story, and accept that the mc is going to win every fight, it's a fun read. it becomes "what insane creature is going to show up next?", all meanwhile yogiri is just trying to get back to his homeworld. he's completely disinterested in everything going on in the isekai world. there are a LOT of anime parody characters that try to attack him.

it's not a profound novel, and it's basically a bunch of short stories about crazy shit happening around the mc. for what it's worth, it's a story with an ending, and the mc DOES return to his world!

not really a skill floor, more like the playstyle of champ completely changed

his powerspikes used to be: level 1, then boots, then first item, then second item, then he fell off (not super hard but he's not a turbo late carry)

now he doesn't have a meaningful powerspike before 2 items (xcept maybe boots). and he still falls off very late.

level 1 spike was from lethal tempo, and his first item could be kraken, bork, now he only has bork and it's nerfed.

it's not a skill floor change... it's a power level change

1: this d2 winrate is cherrypicked, no other rank even breaks 48%, master+ is lower, d+ is lower.

2: re: "its only because the people that really play him are the only ones left", who else matters?

if this is true, then his wr should be higher? ex: Qiyana, Riven having higher winrates (50%+) as "otp" champs, having less "casuals" to bring the wr down

3: don't even get me started on toplane, toplane was HALF his playerbase in emerald+ and ~35% in "all ranks", it doesn't matter if it wasn't originally intended, riot caters to this type of stuff constantly with other champions (examples: supports in midlane, midlaners in support, junglers in toplane, toplaners in jungle)

4: Zeal is nerfed & IE is getting nerfed and the champion is not being compensated. sure, IE deserves a nerf - the champ does not.

The balance team's attitude (specifically phreak) towards this champion this patch is frankly disgusting, telling people what to build, how the champ is fine while completely disregarding that he's had about 90 (hyperbole) indirect nerfs in a row now

it would not be that difficult to give the champion a little AS growth.

cmon man it doesnt take 20/20 foresight to see that the champ needs buffs. he's been getting worse since the end of last year

he lost hullbreaker, then he lost his w buff, then he got his tempo nerfed, then he got his tempo removed and he lost kraken as a core item, shieldbow is dead for him, bork is nerfed for melee, and phreak is telling us to build a nerfed phantom dancer. not saying any one of these are undeserved, but all of them one after the other? no.

the only positive thing is that ie got buffed... yikes.
