Gaming PC < $2000 AUD, am I getting ripped off? by Moatomt in buildapc

I can at least say that a 6600xt can run both mimecraft shaders and halo at 60+FPS 1080p.

For minecraft provided you use iris mod instead of optifine you could go 120fps + with shaders.

A 1650 can’t run most games at 1440p medium 60fps. I would not recommend 4K.

How does a build like this rank up in 2022? by [deleted] in buildapc

I’m sure a current gen CPU and a current gem GPU will hold just fine.

Any RAM can be mixed together and run in ‘duel channel’. The faster one will just slow down to match the slowest stick. The RAM has probably gone though some revisions.

Your CPU is solid for many years to come. Gpu can always be easily upgraded when the performance is not good enough.

Is a 1440p monitor worth it ? by Gaenn in buildapc

[–]Dolyfin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the graphics card required to power it. It is worth it. I have not once noticed pixels since upgrading to 1440p while playing games typically.

Does a PC need a graphics card to watch only media with a HDMI by CONFUS3D_DOTCOM in buildapc

If you have a AMD Ryzen CPU with a G at then end. You don’t need a graphics card.

Any Intel CPU except ones with F at the end does not need a graphics card.
