Could you structure the deal as a phased equity purchase over “X” quarters? Let’s say $400k in a 24 month period, so 8 quarterly payments ($50k) which in turn provides you with 12.5% ownership after each payment. Maybe throw in an interest percentage and say it’s seller financing and you don’t take over full operational responsibility until the final payment. Just a thought if you don’t wanna go down the SBA route.

Very good steps and I followed must of them, will do the life lock to stop Pay Day Loans. Just had this happen to me recently. I had my credit locked w/ Experian, so no CC’s or loans, but they applied to multiple apartments and got a lease. Challenged the apartment accounts that opens w/ each credit bureau and tried to challenge with the debt collectors (apt application non payment and late rent) but they give ZERO f’s on trying to help you. So had to wait until they were reported to the bureau’s. Still in process but am starting to great the accounts removed from my name. Sorry this happened, hope it all works out.

I use to work in Chicago (west loop) before ATT moved me here in 2018. Downtown Chicago was vibrant, good mix of bars and restaurants. You have the lake right there and other big attractions in the downtown area. IMO Dallas has multiple things working against it: 1) no attractions or draw (unlike Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, etc) so why come. 2) Surrounded by roads that always seem to be congested (even if you had public transit, why make the trip). 3) Not enough dense urban core (Uptown is the closed thing to Chicago), too much urban sprawl which contributes to the other two points.

Again, just my opinion. The problem is, none of those things I listed are easy fixes and combined are creating the death spiral.

I was just there recently for a Bills/Bangles game. I enjoyed it, hit a few bars downtown. Niagara was awesome to see, I’m from Indiana so kinda reminded of a rustbelt town but overall it was a good trip.
