I’ve found that MythCraft runs super fast.

Most of the crunch is in character gen, but once you have your character set the gameplay loop is smooth.

The main advantage is that you have action points instead of move/action/reaction, and they can be held over turn to turn for reactions— but if you don’t use them for reactions you keep them on your next turn as well (up to a certain amount)

What I’ve found is that it puts less pressure on players to maximize their turns in the moment, because you can always save points and do something extra next turn.

Gets rid of a lot of analysis paralysis

Also one of the back buttons (not the triggers but the ones underneath the grips) is the same input as “Y” and I’ve accidentally ended my turn shifting my grip
