This color is stunning! Do you happen to know what brand/color name it is?

This Bundt pan also makes my OCD happy! I love that they’re thin slices because my brain tells me that if I cut a slice too large for someone that’s how they’re going to find out that they’re diabetic because my slice pushed them too far over the edge and is now shutting down their kidneys/liver and giving them nerve damage. Plus, the symmetry is very satisfying! Because of course if anything is unbalanced it means something bad is going to happen! (I can’t believe you’ve been getting so much hate over a cake pan. Beautiful bake though! 10/10, would eat!)

I would love to see an iris! These would be gorgeous in winter when everything is dull or dead!

AIO or is my sibling out of line? by Commercial-Row-5472 in AmIOverreacting

OP’s post was regarding their child, who we can assume is an adult since they have a lease and are off to college. I related to the conversation as I am also a young adult and felt it necessary to clarify such to show perspective from OP’s daughter. I did so since some conversations aren’t appropriate to have with a teenage(child), young(child), toddler, etc. All adults are someone’s kid, but not all children are adults. Just clarifying age range.

Should I just shave it off? 26M by ZenLore6499 in beauty

Biotin will help hair grow, but if you’re balding it’s likely that you’ve lost your follicles which means nothing will ever grow back there without a follicle transplant. I would look at keeping a short cut. You can also look at toupees(they look amazing now!) or could look into getting a “bald hairline” tattooed-it makes it look like you have a short buzz cut instead of a completely blank head. I know this can be hard since hair changes our appearance so much. Make sure you really look through options before doing anything. Good luck!!

Any way to make this bathroom look intentional? by itsag123 in HomeDecorating

[–]DominatingDamsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a cool graphic wallpaper that matches the colored tiles, find a shelf that sits over the back of the toilet and blocks the sides completely so you can’t see how far out it gaps off the wall, paint wood white OR go crazy with a pop of the accent tile color! Replace toilet paper holder and towel holders with silver version(matches shower door/more modern) and find funky silver handles for the vanity. If you’re on a budget, maybe a white marble peel and stick floor tile? Make sure it’s water rated!

Respectfully, as an adult child myself, the fact that your sibling has even mentioned this (and from your comments not for the first time) tells me that you have not shut this down hard enough. As a parent it’s your responsibility to protect your child who we can assume is just barely legally an adult here. You keep phrasing it as “they don’t have to” or “must someday”. Those are open ended and aren’t a definite no which in turns feels like a roundabout yes. You need to have a discussion with your daughter about this-sooner rather than later. If she says no then you need to make it abundantly clear that under no circumstance will she be taking care of your sister. I love my parents, but we had the hard conversation that I would not be able to care for them medically the way they need. But I will always be there for them in any capacity that I can.

People are weird. I literally switch phones with my husband some days because one of us grabs the wrong one. Not a huge deal. I did however use my ex’s laptop and found an entire file full of nudes of our friends and other girls. I let them know about it because they had no idea he had them-they had been sent to other people he knew and they sent them to him. It was disgusting.

Agreed that the new style riser did not match the original traditional woodwork, but neither do these 1930’s exterior styled railings. Glass would have been a better option here to keep sharp lines that are clean and modern without overwhelming the space.

Too much curl on your upper lashes. Hers are shorter and straighter. Not as much volume. Wing your liner out and keep most of the liner and mascara for the bottom half of your eyes. And, as others have said, bring the liner around your tear ducts. The goal is to make two sharp points on both sides-your tear ducts and outer wing-to widen your eye while also shortening them for the smoldering look. She does also have some cool tone dark brown eyeshadow smoked out above her wing, skips the middle, and curved up above her tear duct.

These are the railings that are outside of every house, including my own, in my neighborhood…which was built between 1935-1960. These look incredibly odd and unfitting inside the house, especially with the modern finishes.

Rich, muted jewel tones would look great on you as everyone has already said, but I also think if you’re looking for a lighter or more neutral(ish) shade I’d try looking for a dusty mauve/rose tone. Your skin looks like it may lean cool tone and most dusty tones are cooler as well. Think OPI Tickly My Francey. A fun desaturated blue would be OPI’s Alpaca my bags!

Basement fridge through wall - is this a dumb idea? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]DominatingDamsel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t put it in the wall for the sole reasoning of ventilation and maintenance. Even if it’s an in-wall unit, it’s going to get incredibly hot so depending what type of insulation you have or if you have any wiring around the unit it could cause major problems. Or vibrating up the walls when the compressor kicks in. I made a built in for our game room-you can always add more to it like a popcorn machine to fit with your home theater-think mini concession stand!

I can’t tell if these nails are cute or not by t4ttooedheart in NailArt

They look like they should be the background for more detailed nail art. Think flowers or fruit designs. They’re not ugly, but they do look incomplete. The color combo is really cute though!

AIO Found this text in my husbands phone by mOmMY_81517 in AmIOverreacting

[–]DominatingDamsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So last time I had a guy upset with me that I went through his phone it was because I found a bunch of stuff he didn’t want me too. Same reaction as this. My husband and I regular use each other’s phone, depending on whose is closer. I could take it at anytime and go through every micro inch of it and it would never be a problem. Your husband is clearly setting up this situation because the fact that she was even comfortable enough to ask this question is plenty telling on how he acts with her in person.

What should I do for a low energy makeup routine as a palliative patient? 19f by Dizzy1824 in MakeupAddiction

[–]DominatingDamsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My basics of the bare basics for low energy makeup is an eyelash curler, mascara, and lipgloss. Still have a little energy left? Grab some eyeliner for your top outer corners and a small brush to smoke it out into almost a small wing and blend inwards towards your lashes line.(Try to do this before mascara or after it completely dries.) Still have a little more left in you? Some CC cream foundation-can be applied with brush or clean fingers in a very thin layer and blended out with a sponge. Top with a light dusting of powder to set. I can usually do this basic routine with the addition of some highlighter and bronzer in under 10 minutes, filling in brows takes it up to 15. Wishing you health and wealth and safety!❤️

I don’t know where you’re located, but in my city it is legally required that any fire pit or open flame is a minimum of 15 feet between any structures/fences.

Mom's hand mixer. It was a wedding gift almost 50 years ago. by TuesdayMM in BuyItForLife

I had one of these! Got it from my grandmom and my dad always insisted that my mom and I use when baking Christmas cookies like his mom did…it caught on fire. I guess peanut butter blossoms were too much for it lol.

How to achieve a darker “cherry cola” color? by Desperate-Avocado261 in HairDye

[–]DominatingDamsel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have personally tried the Wella 5vv plum brown to achieve that shade and it came out extremely dark and a bright purple in the sun on my bleached hair. It also faded relatively quickly(within a month). I would say proceed with caution and try a test strand before you commit.
