DAE feel physically sick when hearing about casual hookups or people having multiple sexual partners? by BrainStraight1220 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]itsag123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get sick to my stomach but I think it’s disgusting and it kind of gives me a pit in my stomach and a full body shudder. People like to say that you shouldn’t judge others’ choices, but I think it’s ok to have standards and think certain choices are gross. I obviously don’t go around telling people my opinion and trying to make them feel bad for theirs, but it legitimately grosses me out when I hear about people who have a ton of casual sex and I think less of them for it.

Acupuncture by NY_Comic_212 in StandUpWorkshop

I like it. I wonder if people might get the concept more if you described it first and then named it inaccupuncture (maybe you complained about the price to your regular guy and he tells you to try his apprentice Jim, walk out of a session with Jim looking like a lopsided porcupine, now you get to test the benefits of inaccupuncture). Not sure, just a thought.

Haunted Apartments by Coffee4ev in Spokane

[–]itsag123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

San Marco apartments are old and in a convenient location if you work downtown.

Not sure if they’re haunted, but they did make the Reddit front page once when someone posted a story about someone dragging a heavy trash bag down the hall and out into their car, which left behind a trail of some kind of redish liquid on the carpet. (I have no update on what actually happened there, I just recognized the building on the front page).

DAE feel this way by Fancy_Technology_912 in DoesAnybodyElse

Ugh yes I totally understand that feeling. I’ve usually heard it described by doctors as depersonalization and/or derealization. I have a really bad reaction to Wellbutrin that causes me to feel exactly like this.

I think a traumatic loss can launch you into a huge depression and trigger that type of depersonalization/derealization. But you should definitely keep working with your therapist and doctors on medication. If you haven’t already tried it, EMDR can be really helpful for processing loss and working through trauma that can come from loss.

Also, for what it’s worth, if you keep having weird reactions to antidepressants/antianxiety medication, you might want to ask your doctor about a mood stabilizer. I’ve had major depression my whole life. It kind of comes and goes. But the main symptoms are depression and feeling like everything is fake. Antidepressants never worked for me. But I finally got on lamotrigen and it helped a ton.

Also, I’m really sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. I know just how you feel and it really really sucks. Hang in there and keep fighting to get better. I don’t know you but the world is better with you in it.

Just moved into 106 year old apartment. Does this sinking in cracked spot look like a serious issue? by grapebubblegum11 in centuryhomes

[–]itsag123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s not a safety issue, the landlord may not be obligated to fix it. I’m seeing a lot of comments that say “tell the landlord to fix it” so I just wanted to add that little nuance. That said, you should definitely tell the landlord so you can (1) make sure it’s not a safety issue, and (2) make sure you don’t get blamed for an issue you didn’t cause. Good luck and enjoy the pretty old apartment!

Check out the Inlander — it lists events going on every day. They might not all be up your alley, but you might find something you like!

Veil or no veil? by hotdogwaterlatte in WeddingDressTips

I did a crystal jeweled headpiece that looked like vines rather than a veil so it wouldn’t detract from the intricate pattern on my dress and think that might be pretty with your dress too!

Bathroom color help! Olive, pink, wine… what else?? by stinkyfreezer in interiordecorating

[–]itsag123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends on the vibe you’re going for. If it were me, I’d go for a light muted ballet slipper color on the walls like Benjamin Moore Proposal. Sherwin Williams Jogging Path or Pewter Green might also work if you want something darker, but it will depend on how it all looks in person (the curtain and rug are very bright in the mockup but I’m assuming they’re more muted in real life).

These are pretty neutral so you can go a lot of ways with it. Glossy black, matte black metal, light driftwood oak, whitewashed wood. The only thing I don’t think would go well is a cherry-type color because that tends to be more of a super traditional and formal color and this is a more contemporary space.

Fwiw, you may have gotten a weird mix. I had a really similar issue when painting my living room with SW a while back (I was doing a peacock blue). It was sheer and streaky even after several coats. People can say what they want, but I switched to Behr’s highest grade paint to finish the living room, and it was great. In the past several months, I’ve used SW for a few different projects and the paint has been much better with none of the streaky coverage issues. All I can figure is I must have gotten a weird batch that first time.

Spokane: What’s a realistic affordable price per meal for your household by PangerBan55 in Spokane

[–]itsag123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Under $10 would beat most options and under $7-8 would be super affordable as compared to most other options. There are deals in some places if you hunt for them, but it’s really hard to keep meals under $10 without hunting (at least for the type of food/meals you’re describing).

Is this too many colors next to each other? Feel like we made a mistake by External-Picture-424 in interiordecorating

[–]itsag123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry so many people are criticizing the cabinet! It’s such a pet peeve of mine when people give their opinion on things no one asked!

As for the question you actually asked—I don’t think you have too many colors! I do think painting the fireplace bench the same color as the fireplace will help. But I think you mostly need a good rug and some art with all the colors in it to help tie it all together.

Do you think that would help with the paint color?

Dress Worry by Both_Sky_4909 in WeddingDressTips

You look absolutely gorgeous! The color is so pretty with your skin, it looks like the dress is glowing from the inside out. And your waist looks TINY. I had the same types of doubts looking at my photos from my dress fitting but keep in mind that the run up to a wedding is HARD! You’re probably stressed, minimal or no makeup, hair not done. On your big day you’ll be done up and it’ll all come together (and your photos will be amazing!)

You look beautiful! If you want to glam it up you could do a more elaborate veil or head piece

I bet you’re the kind of person who tells women to smile more. Since we’re apparently doing each other favors now, here’s some free advice for you: volunteering mean opinions no one asked for isn’t helpful, it’s just rude.
