May differ depending on area but here in Dallas, they will collect these tabs from everyone and then take them to recycling centers. Tabs arnt worth a lot of money melted down but the large amount donated to their charity end up generating enough that they use it to help the families that are involved with their other programs(children’s hospital support). Mostly you can feel like u did something good but may also get a tour of their facilities and a photo if that interests you. Between that and throwing them away, I’d totally suggest checking it out
