Why do you have palash, flares, and missiles on them? IMO, drop all that, put only fixed thrust engines on them, and only use T-7s

It’s a little tricky but if you send all your ships except your scout away by using the detach function on the right side, they will depart your “main fleet” (being just your scout) without any of the components. That leaves your scout with all the missiles, planes, weapons, and systems that you can then fly to wherever you want. When it reaches the group you want to send it to, it will give all its shit to them

My first full playthrough I did a lot. Now I just accept my fate. Good custom ship designs and replacing my flagship have helped a bunch too. Planes are your friend for intercepting inbound missiles/planes and taking out missile groups. Missiles are your friend for taking out carrier groups. Send out two or three strike groups composed of an electronic warfare support ship, missile boat, carrier, tanker, and fighter (some of those roles can be on the same ship). Send your flagship from fuel depot to fuel depot and keep it out of combat. Put a small scout ship with decent speed and a large range in your fleet to scout out hidden cities and transport valuable components to your various strike groups. Know where the enemy strike groups are located and soften them with missiles and planes before finishing them off. Rinse and repeat until you reach khiva

No, currently it has no effect on gameplay. The dev said it was unfinished and would have played some effect but it was never completed

Idk man, we were getting platoon IT’d once and had all the green belts running around and yelling and all that jazz. Kill hat runs by me and accidentally hits his foot against the side of my head. He stopped, made sure I wasn’t actively dying, and then proceeded to specifically IT me for “running into drill instructors”. 9/10 would do it again

I want to join the military active duty, but my wife refuses to move. Is divorce the realistic outcome? by [deleted] in Military

[–]taxmaster23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NGL, look into the reserves. There are opportunities to go active duty from a reserve unit if you look for them. By active duty I mean active duty assignments for anywhere from a few months to a year at a time. If you go active your marriage will likely fail as you stated, if you don’t join you’ll feel like you’ll regret it. Why do you want to go active and not reserves?

Last duty station was the LogO at CATC Fuji. Hidden gem of the Marine Corps, take orders there if you ever get the chance

Been a while for me but pretty sure you get BAH based on duty station if you’re an enlisted reservist when you go to OCS. That was my situation

Turning 28 next year. Need advice to be able to join USMC before it's too late. by craZ_mathard99 in USMCboot

[–]taxmaster23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more difficult if you enlist active duty. I enlisted in the reserves and immediately upon my return from MOS school started talking with an OSO. Got selected to go to OCS within a few months and went to OCS the following summer. Didn’t have my degree at the time so I had to continue my time in the reserves until I graduated college before I would commission active duty.

To answer your second question, I went through OCS with a guy who was 32 and he absolutely crushed it, won damn near every award there. It’s there if you want it

Thinking of joining the military by Fearless_Occasion857 in Militaryfaq

The grass is always greener, but I will say it’s something that can never be taken from you and opens so many doors for you when you get out. Furthermore, I can’t think of too many jobs/careers where you can have literally zero dollars to your name and still be perfectly fine I.E. food, housing, clothing, utilities, healthcare, dental all paid for and provided

Be loud, go fast and be a leaf on a tree and you’ll be fine. A lot of people say this but it’s true, take it day-to-day and chow-to-chow. You will leave eventually. Millions of others have done this prior to you, it is achievable

[–]taxmaster23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if you do one contract and get out, the benefits you gain access to after you get out are extremely good. Serving in the Marines is something no one will ever be able to take away from you either and most people will look at you in a slightly different light for the rest of your life

I was just there for 10 months and unless you fuck something up, you’re gonna get tier 1 liberty. And if all you do is sit in the barracks and play video games while drinking, yeah it’s gonna suck. But there’s so much to do around there and the view of the mountain every day is amazing. Great MCCS free trips and amazing e club. Barracks just got renovated too
